Dear Los Pen Families,

This week we recognized Red Ribbon Week, the nation's largest and longest-running drug-use prevention campaign. Students dressed for theme days and pledged to make healthy choices as individuals and as classrooms. Check out some of the creatively decorated classroom doors below.

For the continued safety of LPES students and staff, please review some notes about arrival and dismissal procedures:

• There is NO supervision before 8:15 AM. Unless students are enrolled in ESS or BLAST, students should NOT be dropped off unattended before 8:15 AM.
• The LPES parking lot is for PUSD EMPLOYEES ONLY between 7:30 AM and 3:05 PM. If you would like to park your vehicle and walk your student onto campus for drop-off, please utilize street parking.
• There is ONE drop-off/pick-up lane. Students should not be dropped off or picked up in the middle of the street between the parking stalls and the drop-off/pick-up lane.

We appreciate your cooperation and attention to these procedures.

Running Club began on Thursday, October 24th, and will continue every Thursday. All students are welcome to join during their lunch recess. Running Club is a free weekly event, where students can have fun while being active. Every mile run earns a toe token and classes compete for the coveted Golden Shoe! Come cheer your child on by signing up to volunteer.

Take a night off from cooking and join fellow Los Pen friends and families for dine out nights to support Los Peñasquitos Elementary. Our wonderful restaurant community partners donate back a percentage of all sales to the PTA, which funds special programs and events throughout the year.
