TOP 10 HIGH SCHOOL
U.S. News & World Report has ranked Mounds View High School as the eighth best high school in Minnesota on their annual list of best high schools. Additionally, Mounds View ranked in the top 5% of schools nationwide.
STATE RESULTS
Our very own Mounds View HOSA (Future Health Professionals) Chapter just attended their State conference and had multiple members place! Shoutout to Shirin Jawal, Justing Shao, Josiah Chan, Shreeya Pavani, David Park, Ben Lu, John Liu, Ivy Lee, Jonathan Kwon, Kaja Just, Jaiesh Matamai, Ella Kirubakeren, and Salma Sharara for placing top 5 in your events!

Saturday (4/27) is Teen Lit Con at Edina High School! Need a ride? We have chartered a bus - students can register to ride to and from MV with this parent permission slip. If you have any questions, contact Jenna Pomraning (Mounds View's library media specialist and chaperone for the day).
GIRLS LACROSSE
MVGLax is hosting a Sophie’s Squad Honor Game vs. WBL today at 7:00 PM. Sophie’s Squad (www.sophiessquad.org) is focused on athlete mental health and the role we all play in being there for each other.
We invite all sports teams and fans to compete in the halftime chuck-a-duck competition for bragging rights & fabulous prizes (Crumbl cookies anyone?) and to raise money for this important cause focused on raising awareness, providing resources & support, and saving lives. The team will also have a raffle for cozy team-made fleece blankets.
Please wear teal or purple or Mustangs colors & bring cash$ for the ducks, raffle tickets, and donations. Thank you for your support, we hope to see you there!
SPORTS, ACTIVITIES, CLUBS & NEWS
GIRLS GOLF: Yesterday, at Highland National, the Girls Varsity Golf team set a new school course record with a team score of 165! Leading the Mustangs was Sarah Dove with a 38, Kyra Chervany with a 41 followed by Maya Arnold and Sara Sroga both with a 43. Way to go, Ladies! Also, a big congratulations to the JV team who placed 2nd out of 10 teams in their conference match.
BEST BUDDIES: The April Best Buddies Chapter Event is right around the corner. Join us Thursday (4/25) from 5:45-6:45 PM at Flaherty's Arden Bowl for an evening filled with bowling, friendship, and fun. Cost of bowling is covered by the club - feel free to bring extra money for snacks and arcade games.
ULTIMATE: Good luck to the Ultimate teams this week!
- Boys Ultimate teams will play Thursday (4/25). Boys Varsity and JV Green at Chippewa Middle School, games start at 6:00 PM. Boys JV White will be away vs St. Paul Central.
ROBOTICS TEAM: Following are meetings and activities this week:

The need for blood is constant and only volunteer donors can fulfill that need for patients in our community. Nationwide, someone needs a unit of blood every 2 to 3 seconds and most of us will need blood in our lifetime. Thank you for supporting the American Red Cross blood program! SOFTBALL FUNDRAISER
YOUTH SOFTBALL DAY - SATURDAY (4/27)
The Irondale & Mounds View softball teams will face off in a conference match up on Saturday (4/27) at Irondale High School. Games will start around 10:00 AM with the Varsity game kicking off at 12:00 PM. Stay after the game for poster signing and softball relay games with prizes! MOBILE MUSEUM EXHIBIT
Next week the library will be hosting a mobile museum exhibit from the Minnesota Governor's Council on Developmental Disabilities. The display focuses on the fight for inclusion of people with developmental disabilities. Students will have the opportunity to visit the exhibit during the school day. Families are invited to see it during Communication Night on Tuesday (4/30) between 4-7 PM in the Library.
FRENCH TRIP
Are you in French? Do you want to immerse yourself in a new culture, try new food and see famous monuments without leaving North America? Come learn more on Tuesday (4/30) about the French trip to Montreal and Quebec City! The meeting will be at 6:30 PM in Room 266 (Madame Narum's room). - You will need to know the names of your student’s teachers (schedules are available in ParentVUE)

- Select the time that is most convenient for you
- You are only able to select ONE time slot per teacher
- Time slots may fill up quickly
- Click the ‘email me’ button to have an email sent to you showing your appointment schedule
If you are unable to get a time slot, email the teacher to set up an alternative way to receive information (e.g., phone call, email update, etc.).

SENIOR PARTY
PARTY INFORMATION
We are only 6 weeks away from graduation and the senior party!!
The senior party will occur immediately after graduation on Monday night, June 3, 2024. Check-in will start at MVHS at 9:45 PM, ALL attendees will be transported via bus to the venue, BOWLERO in Blaine by 10:30 PM and we will depart back to MVHS starting at 3:00 AM.
Here is a link if you're curious about BOWLERO. There will be something for everyone: Arcade, Laser Tag, 38 Lanes of Bowling—all unlimited, Lounge, Booths, Games, Raffle, Food & Drinks, Music, Photo Ops & More, all with an upscale vibe!
Thank you to all who have already purchased signs and registered their seniors for the party! If your senior has NOT signed up yet, please register soon! The earlier we know who is attending, the better we can plan! At the party, all student attendees will have a chance to win raffle prizes, and those registered by May 10th will be guaranteed a gift bag as well! This is one last time for everyone to hang out, don't miss out!
Confidential support is available for those needing assistance covering ticket price, please connect with your dean. Please know too we will be following up with families of any students who have allergies or medical conditions prior to the party to ensure their safety.

Party updates have been shared via Mustang News, The Class of 2024 Facebook Page (please join for ongoing updates), MVHS FB Pages, Student Instagram Pages and now this email distribution. A reminder that the party is planned and coordinated by senior parent volunteers. The party is NOT affiliated with school other than helping to get communications out.
DONATIONS
Anything we spend, we must raise so any donations (tax exempt) you can make or support you can provide will be very much appreciated!! If interested in donating, please email seniorparty.mvhs@gmail.com. Donations of items can also be made for the raffle. The Prize Committee has compiled an Amazon Wishlist with additional ideas.
