JANUARY EVENTS AT OLPH!!
Elevate Conference @ OLPH by Face to Face Ministries!
Does your child want to celebrate the Sacraments?
If So...Click Below!
Checkpoint in Your Child's Learning - Coming Soon!
At the end of January, your child's report card will be available for viewing on your PowerSchool Parent Portal.
This report card is a checkpoint in your child's learning at this point in the year. It outlines where your child's learning achievement is at in comparison to the content, skills and process explored so far this year.
The report cards are the third of six formal reporting checkpoints in the school year for Grade 1-8 students. Prekindergarten and kindergarten will not have a formal checkpoint in January.
For more information about St. Luke's Assessment, Evaluation and Reporting process as well as understand the format of the report cards, please visit our website linked here for your convenience. If you have any questions about your child's report card and/or learning progress, please reach out to your child's teacher.
St. Luke Catholic School Assurance Survey
Opens in January
Your Voice helps to set the direction for our School!
Have your voice heard!
It is an opportunity for you to share your voice with regards to St. Luke's strengths, successes, areas for growth and future directions. The data collected from these surveys will begin to define our 2025-2026 priorities and directions. We will be exploring this more together at the St. Luke School Council meeting on January 13. We hope to see you there!
There are 4 pillars that drive our school's direction:
Faith Formation
Learners and Learning
Wellness
Community Engagement
These are the same four pillars that organize our "Growing Together @ STL" weekly newsletters. Throughout the year, you can see evidence of initiatives, events, activities, opportunities, learning and extra curricular experiences in each of these categories!
Dress for the Weather to Enjoy Outdoor Free Play!
We will be outside every day up to -25 degrees Celsius or -25 Windchill. Please check with your child to ensure they have the proper clothing to go outside, and encourage them to dress appropriately. Please reach out if you are in need of support for winter clothing.
Free Play outside, especially in the winter, is vital for optimal learning and wellness. There is so much research supporting winter outdoor play and the positive impact is has on learning and growing. Thank you for joining us in providing children with the best learning experiences possible.
Thank you for helping to keep our school clean and safe by removing outdoor footwear. All visitors are invited to bring indoor footwear to change into.
Thank you for ensuring your child has a pair of indoor shoes to change into at school. It is for their safety and wellness. Should your child not change into an indoor pair of shoes, you will be contacted by your child's teacher. Please contact your child's teacher should it be a challenge for your child to have a pair of indoor shoes.
Pick Up & Drop Off: Safety Refresher
- If you are parked in the parking lot out front of the school, please wait for the buses to leave before you back out of the stall and leave the parking lot. Buses start to leave at approximately 2:45pm, just 5 minutes after the bell. If you need to leave before that, please use the gravel parking lot.
- Thank you for ensuring that children are not walking through the parking lot on their own. Please walk with your child.
- Thank you for walking around the buses, and not in between the buses.
- If you are parking on the road, in the front or gravel parking lot, please come and get your children and walk them to your vehicle.
See you at our next....
