A note from our principal
Dear CFC families,
Welcome back to another dynamic and transformative school year. I hope you have had a summer full of rest, reflection, and rejuvenation. At CFC, we pride ourselves on being a place where each student’s unique path to success is valued and supported. Every journey is different, and our mission is to provide an environment where learners can find their own rhythm, explore their passions, and develop the skills and confidence to achieve personal and academic goals. Our educators and staff are committed to helping each student discover and harness their full potential. We encourage families to take full advantage of the resources and opportunities available and to reach out for support or guidance. Your student's success is our priority, and we are here to help you navigate any challenges and celebrate the achievements along the way.
Let’s make this school year one of exploration, growth, and accomplishment. Together, we can turn challenges into opportunities and make the most of every moment.
Here’s to a remarkable year ahead!

Introducing Cubs Club
A New Beginning for Our Youngest Learners
The Stevens Point Area Public School District (SPAPSD) is excited to introduce the Cubs Club Early Registration Program, designed to connect with our youngest future students and their families. Aimed at children from birth to four years old, the Cubs Club focuses on laying the foundation for a successful transition into school by offering tailored resources, support, and engagement opportunities.
Why Cubs Club?
We understand that the early years are crucial in a child’s development, and we want to ensure that every child in our community gets off to a strong start. The Cubs Club is our way of reaching out to families early, providing them with personalized resources that align with the developmental needs of young children. By joining the Cubs Club, families will stay informed about important school district events, early childhood screenings, and other opportunities that support a smooth transition into their educational journey.
How Cubs Club Benefits Families
As a member of the Cubs Club, families will receive access to valuable child development resources, ensuring that they have the tools and information needed to support their child’s early growth. Additionally, the program is designed to foster a sense of belonging and trust, making sure that every child feels welcomed and prepared as they step into our schools.
Join the Cubs Club Today!
Enrollment in the Cubs Club is easy and open to all families with children from birth to four years old. To join, simply complete the registration form available on the district’s website at www.PointSchools.net/CubsClub. You've got to be here, to get there!
Dear Families,
I hope this letter finds you and your family well. As we continue to strive for academic excellence, I would like to take a moment to emphasize the critical importance of regular school attendance and its significant influence on your child's academic achievement.
Consistent attendance is foundational to your child's success in school. When students attend school regularly, they are more likely to engage fully in classroom activities, develop strong relationships with their teachers and peers, and keep up with their coursework. Here are several key reasons why regular attendance is essential:
- Academic Achievement: Regular attendance allows students to participate in daily learning activities, receive timely instruction, and engage in discussions that enhance their understanding of the material. Missing school means missing out on valuable learning experiences that can hinder academic progress.
- Skill Development: The school environment provides opportunities for students to develop important skills, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork. These skills are best acquired through consistent practice and active participation in class.
- Social and Emotional Growth: School is not just a place for academic learning; it is also a social community where students build friendships, learn social skills, and gain emotional support. Regular attendance helps students feel more connected and engaged with their school community.
- Long-Term Success: Studies have shown a strong correlation between regular school attendance and higher graduation rates. Students who attend school consistently are more likely to complete their education and pursue higher education or enter the workforce with the skills they need to succeed.
We understand that there are times when absences are unavoidable due to illness or family emergencies. However, we encourage you to prioritize your child's attendance and work with us to minimize any disruptions to their education. If your child is experiencing challenges that affect their attendance, please reach out to our school staff. We are here to support you and provide resources to help ensure your child can attend school regularly. Thank you for your commitment to your child's education and for partnering with us to ensure their academic success. Together, we can make a positive impact on their future.
Warm regards,
Jeff Mlsna
