Math: Area and financial literacy.

Writing: Composition: I LOVE THE EARTH 2nd Grade students will compete either in English or Spanish with their composition for the Ava Peterson writing award.
Grammar: Compound verbs
Social Studies: Sculptures in Dallas (Cattle Drive, etc.) goods and services.
Project: My favorite Spanish-speaking country. Project to be done in groups. Presentation will be on May 17th, parents are welcome to come, students dressed smartly, presentations will start at 8:15 in the morning, in our class.

FLAMENCO DETAILS
The Hispanic Festival will be held on Friday, May 18th, schedule and details will follow.
We will have rehearsals, as usual, on Wednesdays until 4:30.
If you have the garments, please bring them to class and leave them here as we need to make sure that everybody has them. You can start bringing them from now until next Monday, May 14th, latest.

Girls
Black Long Sleeve Leotard - It can be purchased at Capezio of Dallas (more expensive), or many other vendors such as Walmart, Target or Amazon.
Long Red Skirt - They are already made, they are in class.
Black Shoes - Any type of black shoes, but not training shoes. Ideally, the ones with a strap across the middle. Julianna´s mom, Mrs. Lozano found beautiful ones in Payless Shoes Shop.
Red and White Polka Dot Scarf - They are already made, they are in class.
Fake Red Carnation - To wear in their hair.
Polka dots earrings.- They are ready in class.
Boys
Black Long Sleeve Button-down Shirt
Black Trousers
Black Shoes - Preferably no training shoes, but if they are training shoes they must be all black with no color at all.
