$500 FAFSA Scholarship Entry Form
Drawings: January to July 2025
If you’re a high school senior in New Mexico, you can win a $500 FAFSA scholarship. No essay is required! Just register through this LINK for the opportunity to be one of the lucky four winners in the first drawing in January. If you are not a winner in January, your name will stay in the drawing for the entire scholarship entry period, so your chances to win are good. If your name is drawn, you only need to show proof that you completed the FAFSA!

Monthly FAFSA Scholarship and Prize drawing(s):
New Mexico High School Seniors (residents of NM) can register to win a $500 FAFSA scholarship. High school seniors who register will be entered into a monthly random drawing. To be eligible to win, student(s) must have completed the FAFSA and show proof of completion. A student can only win once. The first scholarship will be drawn in January 2025, and subsequent monthly drawings will be held for the 2025-26 FAFSA cycle. The last eligible drawing for this FAFSA cycle will be in July 2025. The $500 scholarships are for fall 2025 enrollment at any Title IV eligible college, university, or trade school.
Gadsden Foundation Scholarship
Deadline: March 7, 2025
The Gadsden Foundation Scholarship is a long standing tradition at Gadsden Independent School District. The employees at GISD are the sole contributors to this scholarship, and all GISD graduating seniors are eligible to apply for this.
You will access the scholarship through Xello on the Home page. You will click on Plans tab on the top right hand and click on Scholarships and lastly on the Gadsden Foundation Scholarship.
Tierny Family Scholarship Award
Deadline: March 17, 2025
The award will support students from the Dona Ana County area who have made a meaningful impact in their school or community through leadership, service, or other contributions. The award will focus on recognizing a student who has demonstrated perserverance in overcoming personal, academic, or social challenges. Rather than being based solely on GPA, the award seeks to honor well-rounded individuals who exemplifies personal growth, community engagement, creativity, or resilience.
Qualifiers:
- 10th, 11th, or 12th grade
- Lives in Dona Ana County
- Leader in your community
- Makes an impact in school or community
2025 CFSNM Scholarship
Deadline: March 17, 2025
The Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico is excited to offer over forty scholarship opportunities to students from New Mexico and beyond. Each scholarship is unique and special to the donors. Our scholarship committee looks forward to receiving your applications!
The La Mesa Lions Club does still have the Lion John Papen Foundation Scholarship to support Gadsden High School students that plan to attend a NM college or technical school. First Light Community Foundation Scholarship 2025

SIMPLE QUESTIONS AND UPLOAD A VIDEO TO SHARE YOUR DREAMS AND ASPIRATIONS.
The FirstLight Community Foundation Scholarship program is for graduating high school seniors in El Paso and Dona Ana County and FirstLight FCU Employee dependents. Successful candidates will be evaluated on a combination of extra-curricular activities, GPA, and video submission. Personality and creativity encouraged as you tell us what makes you, well, you!
2025 Chihuahuas All-Star Scholarship
Deadline: April 30, 2025
The Chihuahuas All-Star Scholarship awards 5 high school juniors or seniors from the El Paso and Las Cruces area who not only stand out in the classroom but in the community to receive a scholarship to the postsecondary program of choice. Students who apply will be scored on grade point average, extra-curricular activities, community service, financial need, an essay submission, and a letter of recommendation. These individuals will be decided by a committee of local community leaders. Eligible students who apply and are accepted will receive a scholarship from the El Paso Chihuahuas Foundation.

The Opportunity Scholarship
You are eligible if you meet the following requirements:
- You are a New Mexico resident.
- You enroll in a New Mexico public college or university.
- You enroll in at least six credit hours but not more than 18 credit hours. Courses must be credit bearing.
- You maintain a 2.5 GPA while enrolled in a college or university.

The Lottery Scholarship
You are eligible if you meet the following requirements:
- Enroll full time at a New Mexico public college or university the semester following graduation or completion of a certificate.
- You maintain a 2.5 GPA while enrolled in a college or university.
