17th week of TWB and no COVID cases for band. Keep doing what you are doing and be diligent.! If you are remote and want to come back at least to marching band...we would love to have you. Let me know and we can find a spot for you. Band kids are obviously doing this right.

CONGRATULATIONS EARNING TWB's 30th CONSECUTIVE 1st DIVISION RATING AT THE UIL MARCHING CONTEST!

This streak dates back to 1991 and you can see all 30 trophies in the band hall and count for yourself.

THAT WYLIE BAND has advanced to the Area Marching Contest at Mesquite Memorial Stadium on Saturday, December 5th.

• Excellence is still achievable if you are organized and have a plan.
• We need more parent help with support crew for the band. Please fill out the survey below to help out for the December 5th Area Marching Contest (we are the survey capital of the world).
• Wylie parents and fans are THE BEST. It was great to hear the support from all the fans in the stadium!
• It is hard to be a tuba player or guard performer in strong wind!
  
• The buses won't leave unless you tell them to...sorry about that, and thank you Sofia.
• The judges LOVED your performance.
• The judges also found some individual issues to improve.
• You can still make people cry (in a good way) with your performances.
• THAT WYLIE BAND is #1! (we already knew that...just have more proof now)
• I couldn't take a group photo with you all...social distancing and all. So I chose my favorite band member to take a photo with the trophy.

If you are auditioning for All-Region, the audition window opens on the Music First App on Saturday, November 14 and closes at 11:59PM on Wednesday, November 18.

THERE ARE MORE HOME GAMES ON OUR SCHEDULE:

• Friday, November 27 @2PM - We will only perform the Spirit Show for this game (AHMO/PIRATES/Color Guard)
  
• Thursday, December 3 @7PM (Senior Night)

Please click the button below and fill out the form informing us if you are in town or out of town for this game. We will treat this game like we do play-off games on the same date in the past. If you are IN TOWN, go to the game. If you are OUT OF TOWN, don't change your plans....unless you need an excuse to get away from your family. This is a fun game and we will only be performing the Spirit Show (AHMO/PIRATES/Color Guard) at half time. It is a fun break in your week to hang out with your friends.

• Practice at Noon
• TWB Polo, Jeans, Band Shoes (for those who don't have jeans...buy some jeans...I promise you will like them).
• Game starts at 2PM
• Game will end around 4:30PM
• Bring your left over turkey and we will throw it at the other team. Just checking if you read these newsletters.

All 10-12 graders have their formal attire from last year. 9th graders will need formal attire. Here is what we will do.

10-12 Graders:

• Check to see if it fits...parents follow up on this.
• If you need a new size, bring and return your formal attire on Monday and Tuesday this week and we will fit you for a new tux or dress.

9th Gaders:

• You will be fitted for a tux or dress Wednesday-Friday of this week. FORMAL ATTIRE GOES HOME WITH YOU THE DAY IT IS ISSUED. It does not stay at the school.

ALL YOUNG MEN WILL NEED TO PURCHASE A TUXEDO SHIRT

• Try Amazon or one of the formal wear shops

Below is an example of a tux shirt. You can do wing tip collar or regular collar.
