From Your Principal:
Dear Tiger Families,
It is so hard to believe that there is just 5 school days left of this school year. It has been a great school year in Tiger Nation! The fun and learning is not over yet with end of year parties, field day, and other end of year events. Please keep the following in mind with these end of year class/grade level events planned:
To ensure a smooth and focused experience for everyone, we kindly request that younger siblings and children remain at home during the class events. This will allow parents/guardian with staff to create a safe and enjoyable environment for all participants in each class.
Also, all volunteers are required to complete the LCPS Volunteer Form. You can click this link to print and complete the Volunteer Form OR complete the form in the front office before volunteering. If you completed a volunteer form last year or earlier this year, you will not need to do it again. If you are unsure about whether or not you have completed a form already, you can call the front office to check (571-252-2880).
Your help with keeping the focus on these special times for the students per class/grade level is greatly appreciated.
In February the 2024-2025 Kindergarten and New Student Online Registration began. Here is the link to register any incoming K and New students for next school year: https://register.lcps.org/PXP2_OEN_Login.aspx
Virtual meetings will be scheduled with our registrar, Mrs. Tish Bowles starting March 1st. You can contact her if you have any questions tish.bowles@lcps.org or via phone 571-252-2880.
We are excited to welcome our newest Tigers in for Tiger Tours after school on the following dates:
- Thursday, June 6 at 3:30/Thank you to those that were able to participate last week!
- Tuesday, June 11 at 3:00
Parents/Guardians with new students can check in at the office if attending these sessions that will be held in the BBES Library. These sessions will start with an opportunity to share information, Q & A session, and introductions of some of the staff. The tours will then be led by staff in smaller numbers depending on the number in attendance and staff at each session.
Also we are in the process of scheduling screenings of our incoming K students. Parents/guardiancs can reach out to Mrs. Bowles, our registrar, to schedule a time for this screening. This is a time that a staff member sits one on one with the student to get to work with them to show what the student may know about beginning K readiness skills. Please know there are no expectations of what students should or should not know as incoming K students; but it gives us a snap shot of each students' abilities.
Looking forward to seeing many of our new tigers for the Tiger Tours and/or K Screenings!
We have a lot going on these last days of school. Please stay up to date on these events.
Warm regards,
Mrs. Ewing, Principal
