Superintendent's Message
Dear South Bay Community,
The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a three-year plan that describes the goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive student outcomes that address state and local priorities.
South Bay Union School District’s 2021-2024 LCAP concludes this year. Staff are currently developing a new LCAP for the school years 2024-2027. An important component of the development of this document is community engagement and the input of all educational partners (families, students, staff, and community members). If you have not already responded, I encourage you to take our LCAP Family Survey to share your feedback!
Community Schools
South Bay wants to ensure that our students and families feel valued, connected, heard, and supported in their schools. In our school community, we strive to create environments in which everyone feels safe and has a strong sense of belonging. We prioritize developing trusting relationships, engaging community voice and input, and collaborating in the development of a school community that honors the strengths of each individual. Holding a strong value of equity, we want our students to have opportunities to access the resources and support that they uniquely need to foster their well-being, learning, and academic and social growth and achievement.
