Wonderful Falcons,

I hope that you have enjoyed your fall break and are ready to work hard and representing what it means to be a Falcon. Hilltop Middle School Staff return date is Monday, October 7, 2024. Student return date is Tuesday, October 8, 2024 with a regular day bell schedule.

Celebrating our Custodians

Please thank our amazing Custodial Crew as this past week was National Custodian Day. Please take time to honor all of our custodians for the hard work they do in keeping HTM's classrooms and campus clean. Thank you for all you do!

Make Up Picture Day is October 24, 2024

Students, if you have not taken your picture yet, here is your opportunity to be included in the yearbook. Please be sure to attend picture make-up day on Thursday, Ocotber 24, 2024.

Falcon Scholars

Students please to attend Falcon Scholars after school tutoring Monday through Thursday each week day from 3:20-5:20pm in the cafeteria to ensure academic success.

Saturday Academy

The next Saturday Academy will be this upcoming Saturday on October 12, 2024.

The Eric Paredes Save A Life Foundation is hosting a free youth heart screening for ages 12 to 25 at Olympian High School in Chula Vista on Sunday, October 20. Screenings include a cardiac risk assessment, ECG, consultation with a physician, and if indicated, a limited echocardiogram to find the 1 in 300 youth at risk for sudden cardiac arrest from an undetected heart condition. Participants also get a hands-on demonstration of what to do in a cardiac emergency by using CPR and an AED.

It is our collective expectation that everyone on campus will uphold the cell phone use policy as outlined in the district's board policy as well as in our handbook:

1. Upon entry, all cell phones must be turned off and placed in the backpack.
2. If a staff member directs a student to put it away, please listen and put cellphone in backpack.
3. Cell phones are not allowed in the bathroom. If students are caught with cellphone in the bathroom, the phone will be taken immediately and must be picked up by the parents. NO EXCEPTIONS.
4. If a staff member takes a cell phone away, they will give it back to student at the end of each period UNLESS it warrants being taken to the main office.
