LILIANA FINK!
Liliana brings home the DISTRICT CHAMPION MEDAL in bowling!
This weekend Liliana competed in the USBC Pepsi State Finals Bowling tournament. Liliana won a medal for being the district champion from the district tournament which advanced her to the State tournament. She bowled in the U12 division, becoming the state champion by bowling a 550 series for 3 games. This is not an easy task for a 12 year old. As the state champion for the Pepsi tournament she now has an opportunity to compete in a national championship tournament know has Junior Gold. We and her family are so proud of her for her amazing hard work and determination to make it to junior gold!
8th grade PHYSICS rollercoasters!!
The Parent Association wants YOU!
The Parent Association is looking for volunteers for these things for next school year:
Book Fair - Works with the librarian to coordinate the book fair in the fall and the spring.
Hospitality Chairperson – Create sign-ups for donations for dances and teacher appreciation week festivities.
Charger Challenge Chairperson – Walk-a-Thon held in the fall and raises funds for field trips and initiatives throughout the school. Materials from previous years that can be used to easily get this up and running for the next school year.
Field Hockey Information
Attention any 6th or 7th grader interested in field hockey. There will be a meeting at 8:45 on Thursday May 23rd in the library. Please see Mrs. Long in room 316 with any questions.
Cross Country Information
Anyone who would like information about cross country in the fall should come to room 207 and talk to Miss. Kern. Stop by during homeroom and grab an information packet on Thursday 5/16, Friday 5/17, Monday 5/20, or Tuesday 5/21.
Basketball Intramurals for 6th and 7th Graders
Attention all 6th and 7th grade girls interested in basketball. There will be intramural basketball every Thursday in May. These will run from 3:15-4:30 in the gym. Please see Ms. Babinsky in room 147 for a permission form. This permission form must be signed to participate.
Attention all 6th and 7th grade boys interested in basketball. Boys basketball open gyms for the spring will be on 5/7, 5/14, 5/21, and 5/28. Please see Mr. Coyle for more information and to get the required forms.
Baseball Intramurals for 6th, 7th and 8th Graders
East Hills will host a week of baseball intramurals for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. This is a great chance to try the sport and have fun while playing with students from other middle schools in Bethlehem. Practices will be May 13th to May 16th and May 20th from 3:15-5:00. May 21st, 22nd, and 23rd will be games against the other middle schools. Gloves are needed. If you need a glove, please contact me and I can try to arrange one for you. Thank you!
GR 6 and Gr 7 Students Interested in Football Next Year
Please complete this form to indicate your interest in participating in spring football for the East Hills football team. We will begin spring workouts on May 14th, workouts will be Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 3:15 to 5:00 PM. A schedule will be distributed at the first workout. Bring cleats, sneakers, proper attire, and water to every workout. Only current 6th and 7th grade students may participate. You must obtain and return a completed intramural form from Coach Leinbach in Room 148. Please see Coach Leinbach with any questions.
GR 8 Students Interested in FHS Swim Team
8th Graders interested in the swim team at FHS.
Please complete the interest form below to get updates on FHS' Swim Team. They will be beginning workouts shortly and would like you to attend. This is welcome to all skill levels.

2024 Police Academy
Are you interested in exploring a career in law enforcement? Interested in learning more about your local police and the various opportunities within the criminal justice field? Then consider attending the 2024 Junior Police Academy. The academy is free, see the main office. with any questions and to get an application. Applications are due to the main office by May 20th.
AMAZING STUDENT-LED FUNDRAISER
Students from Team Inspire are again organizing a wiffleball tournament for charity. This year's charity is the Alzheimer's Association. Student leaders from the team will be coming around to the homerooms beginning next week on Tuesdays and Fridays to collect donations from homerooms. The top four earning homerooms will win a spot in the wiffleball tournament and the homeroom that wins it all will get a pizza party in celebration. Student leaders will organize and officiate the games and organize all the events surrounding.
Chromebook Care!
Keep the chrome books BORROWED not BOUGHT!!!
Our students need to take good care of their BORROWED chrome books. Families will be charged for misuse and/or loss. It's $500 to replace one. Please encourage your child to take care of their borrowed chrome books! And if something goes wrong, they can always reach out to their teacher to get it fixed right away and they borrow a loaner.

BASD Report Card Grading Update
BASD Families:
Bethlehem Area School District is updating our Report Card Grading System for Grades 6-12 for the 2023-2024 School Year. The updated report card represents our primary aim: to improve our communication about student achievement toward learning goals with you. Elementary student report cards will remain the same. We wanted to share with you information on the new report card.
