The HSVA/MSVA program is a hybrid program that provides live classes 1-3 days per week, in which students receive instruction from a credentialed teacher and have opportunities to engage with their similarly-aged peers. Asynchronous work is assigned and must be completed at home on days when students do not have live instruction.
Our unique hybrid model allows families support from a highly qualified teacher while retaining some flexibility. The MSVA/HSVA teacher plans the lessons for each week of school and instructs families what needs to be completed throughout the week.
The HSVA/MSVA programs offer all core classes required for graduation in the areas of English, Math, Social Studies, and Science. Our courses are rigorous, aligned with state standards, and are taught by highly qualified teachers. Students enrolled in our program must complete all coursework since classes are not intended to be supplemental. Our classes support the development of relationships with peers and teachers.
Both our HSVSA and MSVSA programs also offer elective courses in the areas of Leadership, Art, Digital Art, Visual Arts 1 & 2, Spanish 1 & 2, and Creative Writing. Our elective courses cover all content standards and meet A-G requirements for our high school students.
