Pawsitive Pal
Today’s Pawsitive Pal is Mr. Downs teaches Exploring Woodworking Technology, Woodworking and Plastics, Exploring Principles of Engineering Technology, and Manufacturing Design Production. He is an engaging teacher who challenges his students to reach new levels of achievement.
Mr. Downs does an excellent job organizing his lessons with a mix of direct instruction, modeling, and opportunities for students to explore under his supervision. Watching him teach with enthusiasm and excitement is truly inspiring.
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Downs puts his skills to work around the building. He and his students recently renovated the bookshelves in the HUB by cutting the stacks in half and adding wheels to make them mobile.
Mr. Downs is also active in athletics as a football coach, supporting the program at several levels, including varsity.
Thank you, Mr. Downs, for being you—always smiling and pushing kids to reach their full potential!
Lion Locker
The Lion Locker is open Semester 2 during periods 4, 5, 6, and 7. If you need the Lion Locker outside those periods, see the Main Office or Counseling Department.
