Jog-a-thon Final Update
Dewey families,
Thank you for another successful Jog-a-thon fundraising year! Eighty-two of our Dewey students raised a whopping $9938 for our school. (We have also raised $40,302 over a four-year span!) We will spend the funds on a BMX assembly, Sami’s Circuit, a new Tiger suit, field trip scholarships, physical education equipment, Maker Lab supplies, and additional school support. The top three class fundraisers were Mrs. Willett’s 1st grade class ($1339), Mrs. Holmgren’s 4th grade class ($1145), and Mr. Hann’s 4th grade class ($1145). The top individual fundraisers for the second year in a row were Lucy Eastman ($855), Olivia Tran ($650), and Nolan Greenhaw ($550). Fantastic job! Mrs. Willett’s first grade class and the six students who fundraised $350+ for our school earned a pizza party. The result of this year’s success was Ms. Parsley and Mr. Deal taking a whipped cream pie to the face. Fun times for all! Thanks again to all who contributed to this year’s Jog-a-thon!

As you are traveling this holiday season, please keep in mind that Dewey collects all small toiletries that you may receive at your hotels (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower caps, soap, toothpaste, sewing kits, etc.). Another great place to pick up some extra toiletries is your dental office. The free toothbrush, toothpaste, and dental floss they offer you are great items to donate as well. Please drop off your donations in the office hallway or to Mrs. Ruswinkle in room 9. All items donated will be sent to Mercy Pedalers organization (mercypedalers.com).
Thank you! Mrs. Ruswinkle
The Harry Dewey School Library is a fantastic hub for knowledge and exploration! We are so excited to see our student actively using the online catalog to research topics they love. Have you checked it out together yet? Explore here: https://dewey.sanjuan.edu/academics/library
