Lakeside Office Notes

#1: meet with your teacher at the assigned time, pick up your GREEN curbside tag and verify family contact and emergency information

#2: Pick up the Josten's picture card when you meet with your teacher.

#3: go get your picture taken in the gym

• Please be ON TIME to your meeting with your teacher. Be respectful of the 10 min time slots so all families have time to meet their teacher

• When you arrive at school, enter through door #1 (main entrance) or door #8 (bus loop/playground)

• After you’ve met with your teacher, picked up your GREEN curbside number AND completed pictures, the building is open. Optional activities:

• The specialists: Mr D & Mr Swanson will be in the gym, Mrs Grue will be in the music room, Mrs Luger will be in the art room. Stop by and say HI to them!

• Stop in the cafeteria to connect with the community organizations that are at school.

• We’re also selling Lakeside clothing in the cafeteria

• Book Fair in the Media Center

• Students who participated in the summer reading program can turn in their Reading Trackers. Mrs. Courant will be collecting them in the Media Center and handing out a small prize and raffle ticket to students.

This is NEW for Open House 2024:

Plan accordingly to get your picture taken AFTER your assigned time to meet with your teacher.

We have over 800 kids at Lakeside this fall and there are only 3 cameras for pictures. We are moving to this format to help manage the picture line.

Other Picture information:

• Teachers will have your picture cards - pick this up at your assigned time. DO NOT interupt others time with the teachers to get your picture cards.
• Pictures at Lakeside are taken in the gym
• Pictures are purchased on-line, no paper forms
• Make up day: Oct 4th

At Chisago Lakes School District, we utilize SchoolMessenger in order to get our important messages out to our families. In addition to emails and phone calls, we utilize the texting feature for school delays/closings, transportation (late buses), and other emergency situations.

To ensure that you receive text messages, please opt in by doing the following:

Bus information on ParentVue - now available

• To find your students bus info go to the ParentVue app

• Student Info tab:

• Look for “additional Information” at the bottom right for your child’s bus information

**Please check this before the first day of school. There is the possibility of some changes. If anything is going to change, it could be the pick up or drop off times.
