Mission Statement
Message from Mr. Da Costa
More academic focused classes will start this week and with that the expectations that students are completing their work in and out of the classroom. As coursework becomes harder, we highly encourage students to ask questions the moment they don't understand something or need clarification. We all know it's easier to get back on track early, than wait for us to be too far behind.
Another factor that will ensure student success is consistent attendance. Our daily goal for attendance is 97% percent. Parents, please help us in getting your student to school, on-time, daily. We will start with an attendance competition led by our Climate & Culture Team this week. The three homerooms in each grade-level with the highest average attendance during this first full week will get an ice cream social on Friday.
Please note that picture day is next week. I will always include a list of upcoming events on the weekly warrior newsletter. Please keep an eye on those dates to ensure nothing is missed.
Lastly, I want to remind you that we're here to serve you. If you ever need anything, please reach out to myself or a member of my team, and it will be our pleasure to help :)

Getting Involved - It's the expectation!
Research shows that being involved in extracurricular activities yields higher levels of connection to the school community, which leads to better attitudes towards school, which leads to better behaviors related to school which yields higher academic performance.
It is expected that all students are in at least one, if not more, extracurricular activities. Enrollment in extracurricular activities will be monitored throughout the school year.
