Baxter School Resource Dog Fundraiser!
Order a Stuffed "Baxter" Dog Today!
Deadline to PRE-Order is Friday, November 1!
Baxter is our School Resource Dog at Eastview Elementary! A cheerful Yellow Labrador Retriever born on May 5, 2018, Baxter joined the team in October 2021 after three years of training with PawPADs. Funded by generous donations and local partnerships, he brightens the day for students and staff alike with his warm greetings and playful wiggles. Baxter provides comfort to anxious students, assists with reading, and celebrates birthdays with everyone. We're thrilled to have him as part of the Eastview family, spreading joy and smiles every day!
HELP US RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT our School Resource Dog Program by purchasing an adorable "Baxter" stuffed dog for just $15.00! Each dog costs us $10.00, so every purchase makes a $5.00 donation towards our cause. The minimum payment is $15.00, but if you're feeling extra generous, you're welcome to donate more. PRE-orders are due by Friday, November 1.
Each cuddly companion represents the incredible impact Baxter has on students' lives, providing comfort, companionship, and a calming presence in our school. Your purchase not only gives you a cute new friend but also directly funds the care and food for Baxter. Join us in making a difference-order your stuffed animal today and help Baxter continue his amazing work!
To place your PRE-order, please either click on this link: https://e.givesmart.com/events/EbC/ or scan the QR code on the flyer below.
Orders will be delivered to Eastview and will be sent home with your child. If you do not want them sent home with your child and would rather pick them up from Eastview, please email Mindee Hemann, Office Manager, at mindee.hemann@isd194.org.

Religious Observance-Absence Exemption
Dear Lakeville Area Schools Families,
We hope this message finds you well. As we continue to approach a season of many religious observations, we want to remind our community that Lakeville Area Schools supports students and families who wish to observe holidays that fall during student contact days.
If your child will be staying home from school for religious observance, it will be considered an excused absence. We understand the significance of these holidays, and teachers have been informed to make reasonable accommodations, including offering time to make up any missed assignments. Teachers have also been asked to avoid scheduling assessments or major projects on this day.
Our district process aligns with Minnesota State Statute 120A.35, which ensures that students may be excused from school for religious observances. Reasonable efforts are made by the district to accommodate these requests, and we strive to create a supportive environment for all students.
If you have any questions or need further information, please don’t hesitate to contact your child’s school.
Thank you for your continued partnership.
Device Protection Deadline is October 18
Lakeville Area Schools offers an optional protection plan for student devices (iPads). Payment for device protection must be made by October 18, 2024.

If you need to pick your child up before our end-of-the-day dismissal, we are asking you to do this before 3:30 p.m. Due to heavy volume in the front office, we cannot check out students from 3:30-3:55 p.m due to capacity. We made this change to ensure we get each child where they need to be. We appreciate you picking up your child before 3:30 p.m. or at dismissal.
