The school year is flying by!

We have an exciting month ahead with March is Reading Month and Parent/Teacher Conferences, Celebration of Learning, and the Scholastic Book Fair!

Last month we welcomed our new Kindergarten families at our Kindergarten Information Night! Important information to remember after this event:

• Enrollment Opened Feb. 25th @ 9:00am
• District of Choice will not open up until June 15th and will close on July 15th
• Spring Brigance Testing Day: Wednesday, May 7th @ Anderson Elementary
• Kindergarten Orientation & Teddy Bear Bus Ride: Thursday, August 14th @ Anderson Elementary
• Kindergarten & Young 5's Screening Day June 17th from 9:00am-4:00pm @ Indian Hill Elementary (open to families from ALL buildings)
• Dental Screenings
• Vision Screening
• Hearing Screening
• Sign up for Brigance Testing
• Immunization Records
• Don't forget to turn in your BINGO board for a free Bitty Bobcat T-Shirt!

We are in the process of planning our Spring Family Dance which will take place on April 11th from 5:30-7:30pm at McGrath Elementary. We are still in need of parent volunteers to help coordinate this event!

We also hosted our first parent workshop of the year and had Kevin Zoromski here to present to families. Thank you so much to all of the families who attended this event! Please see the 3 attached documents before for more information about the monthly classes and online workshops that Kevin's team runs!

March is Reading Month is finally here! Please see the attached calendar for fun ways to incorporate reading at school and at home. Below you will find the link to order one of our Camp Anderson and McGrath shirts. We are planning to wear these shirts on FRIDAYS in March!

We are excited to share that we have introduced a play pod on our playground! This space is designed for students to engage in creative play and exploration. This space is designed for students to engage in creative play and exploration. Creative play offers numerous benefits, including:

• improved creativity
• enhanced problem-solving skills
• encouragement of sharing and collaboration with peers

As the weather warms up, we plan to open the play pod for students to enjoy. If you have any materials at home that you no longer use and would like to donate, we would greatly appreciate your contributions. Together, we can cerate a vibrant environment for our children to thrive!

Suggested items include but certainly are not limited to:

• PVC Pipes
• Large Carboard Boxes
• Fake Flowers
• Old Tires
• Old Calculators
• Adding Machines
• Baskets
• Buckets

Reminder that Parent Teacher Conferences are the week of March 10th running from March 11-March 13th.

Reminder that the Scholastic Book Fair will be open all of next week and during the evenings/afternoon of Parent/Teacher Conferences and Celebration of Learning.

This March, we have a collage artist and author Michael Albert coming to our school. Not only will we have an assembly, but he will run workshops all day making collages with students. We are in need of any boxes that are colorful and have words, numbers and or logos on them (boxes from cereal, toothpaste, cake mix, oatmeal just to name a few.) We are also looking for donations of 4oz Elmer's liquid glue.

You can bring donations into the office or send them in with your students. Our art teacher Kate Waxweiler will be collecting materials until he visits on March 17th.
