First Day of School
🍎Doors open at 7:55 am and the bell rings to start the day at 8:30.
🍏Parents are asked not to walk students into the building or to class, even Kindergarteners. Plenty of staff members will be located all throughout the building to help students get to their classrooms safely on the first day. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. This policy helps us make the first day of school as safe and smooth as possible.
🍎Students may have breakfast before they go to class.
🍏Kindergarteners and 2nd through 4th graders go straight to their classrooms upon arrival or after breakfast. First graders will meet their teachers in the library.
🍎Dismissal is at 2:45pm daily. Please make sure to inform your child's teacher of their dismissal procedures at Supply Drop Off Night. Any changes to dismissal procedures must be made before 1:30pm by calling the school office. ONLY legal guardians may make changes to student dismissal procedures.
🍏Make sure you take the time to sign up on Remind! at Supply Drop Off night so that you can be in close communication with your child's teacher.

Fairview Drop Off Procedures
Please adhere to the following procedures for drop-off of students daily. These procedures are enforced in order to ensure the safety of all students and families, and to respect the time of all involved. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
Parent drop-off is located at our circle drive. The objective of the circle drive is quick, safe drop-off.
Parents may drive through the circle drive (shown in red) or they may park in the Armory parking lot (shown in blue) and walk up to drop off their child.
Parents walking up from either parking lot or from home MUST stop at the lines shown in green on the map. This is to ensure the safety of all students. On the south side nearest the Armory, parents should stop at the sidewalk. On the north side of the building, parents should stop at the orange traffic cone adjacent to the flagpole.
When using the circle drive for drop-off:
Please have your child exit out of the right side of the vehicle closest to the building. We are aware that some vehicle doors do not work properly at times, in which case a staff member will walk your child over safely.
Please remain in your vehicle at all times. This is to ensure your safety, the safety of your child(ren), and the safety of other children. If your child needs assistance finding and getting into your vehicle, school staff will assist them.
Please do NOT drive around other vehicles that are still stopped in front of you after you have safely picked up your child. We understand that this may cost a few extra seconds or minutes, but the safety of our students is our number one priority.
Please pull ALL THE WAY DOWN to the end of the circle drive (or as far as you can go if another vehicle is in front of you). This is to ensure we can get as many kids loaded as possible.
When dropping off in the circle drive, we recommend approaching the building from the south on Cicott. Avoiding turning left into the circle drive helps keep traffic congestion on Cicott to a minimum-- keeping everyone safe.
Fairview Pick Up Procedures
Please adhere to the following procedures for dismissal of students daily. These procedures are enforced in order to ensure the safety of all students and families, and to respect the time of all involved. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!
Parent pick-up is located at our circle drive. The objective of the circle drive is quick, safe pick-up.
Parents may wait in the line and drive through the circle drive (shown in red) or they may park in the Armory parking lot (shown in blue) and walk up to wait for their child.
Parents walking up from either parking lot or from home MUST wait behind the lines shown in green on the map. This is to ensure the safety and proper dismissal of all students. On the south side nearest the Armory, parents should wait behind the sidewalk. On the north side of the building, parents should wait behind the orange traffic cone adjacent to the flagpole.
Anyone who parks in the Armory parking lot MUST exit to the LEFT (south) onto Cicott. This is to keep traffic moving and prevent any congestion or accidents with non-school traffic, buses, and pedestrians/students.
It is extremely important that students be restrained properly within their vehicle. If your child is too small to buckle themself on their own, we recommend parking and walking up to get your child so that you can assist them and get them buckled safely before beginning your drive home.
When using the circle drive for pick-up:
Please have your child enter on the right side of the vehicle closest to the building.
