In Recognition of Excellence: Students Honor Baldwin Teachers
Baldwin High School Students Present the Careers of the Future
Baldwin High School students recently presented their groundbreaking ideas on future careers. The project encompassed a "Shark Tank-style" presentation, where students proposed their career concepts that do not yet exist based on extensive research and data collection. The project, which falls under School2Career, is another example of the district's dedication to integrating real-world learning and hands-on career experiences into its curriculum. Read more >>
“Bridges and Barriers: Confronting the Intersection of Racism and Antisemitism”
AP World History: Modern students are undertaking a Human Rights Violation Project designed to deepen their understanding of historical and contemporary injustices. As part of this work, they participated in a unique learning experience hosted directly in district with Holocaust survivors. Attendees also included representatives from the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York-LI, Nassau-Suffolk School Boards Association, BOCES, and StandWithUs. The enlightening educational session was captured by News 12 Long Island and PIX-11 and made possible by guest speakers Arnold Newfield and Sami Steigmann, both Holocaust survivors; daughter of Holocaust survivors, Gail Kastenholz from the Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of Nassau County; and Doyle Stevick, associate professor from University of South Carolina.
