Join us in celebrating National School Social Work Week 2025! This year’s theme, “Unite to Ignite: Celebrating our Impact,” honors the dedication of school social workers in building connections, advocating for equity, and supporting student success. Despite challenges, they remain resilient, ensuring students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. BFMS proudly recognizes Mrs. Casey Koger, Mrs. Jamie Robinson, and Ms. Casey Overfelt for their incredible work. RENOVATION UPDATE
Current Status:
We’re excited to share that Phases 1-4 of our renovation project are now complete, with the exception of the East Hall Auditorium, where work is still underway. Phase 5, which includes classrooms in West Hall, is expected to be finished by Friday, April 4, 2025. We’ll begin Phase 6 - adding more classrooms in West Hall - on Monday, April 7, 2025.
School Safety:
The safety of our students, staff, and faculty continues to be our top priority. We’ve increased safety patrols around the construction areas throughout the day and are working closely with contractors to ensure all safety measures are in place. We’re also grateful to have the support of two School Resource Officers from the Rocky Mount Police Department and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on campus.
We kindly ask for your continued patience and flexibility as we navigate these improvements together. Traffic patterns will remain the same, but please be mindful that occasional delays during morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, and school events may still occur.
A heartfelt thank you to our School Board and the Board of Supervisors for their ongoing support in making these exciting improvements possible!
