Dear Los Pen Families,
With the end of Trimester 1 quickly approaching (wow!), November is a busy month! At NEU at Los Pen, families are partners in promoting student success. If you have not done so already, contact your children's teachers and schedule a conference with them during the week of November 18th. This will ensure that you have received current information on your children's progress, their goals, and strategies to support them outside of their school day.
Remember, there is no school on Monday, November 11 in honor of Veterans Day. We express our thanks to our Veterans for their dedicated service.

Each year, the schools in our district nominate families that could use some extra help over the holidays. These families fill out "wish lists" of what their children need (mainly clothes, shoes and school supplies) and something they'd like ... maybe just one fun gift.
A small number of volunteers work tirelessly to collect, sort, and deliver the donations given in a respectful way. This allows 100% of donations to go to the families in need with no overhead costs.
The Giving Tree (Formerly Adopt a Family) has successfully brightened the holidays of so many families in our school district for over two decades.

LPES Dine-out Night
Take a night off from cooking and join fellow Los Pen friends and families for dine out nights to support Los Peñasquitos Elementary. Our wonderful restaurant community partners donate back a percentage of all sales to the PTA, which funds special programs and events throughout the year.
