Dear Fifth Grade Parents and Guardians:

We are thrilled to announce that eight 5th grade students from China and one of their teachers will be visiting Harbor Springs for two weeks from April 28-May11. Most of the time will be spent at Shay with our 5th graders. The students will be staying at a hotel in Petoskey, with the exception of one weekend from May 3-May 5. We are in need of 5th grade host families for this weekend. If your family is interested in hosting one of our Chinese guests, please see the flyer linked below:

Naomi is a 4th grade student at Shay Elementary who is currently going through treatment for leukemia.

Thank you for taking the time to make meals and snacks for all staff this past week. We had plenty of leftovers that lasted throughout the week! We are so lucky to have such wonderful and caring parents in our Blackbird and Shay families.
