Retake Picture Day is

Your Retake Picture Day is coming up soon. This day is for students who need to be re-photographed and students who missed the original Picture Day.

Information for you:

Parents/guardians are now in a few different scenarios, depending on if they purchased and if their child was absent or if they were unhappy with the original picture. Read below to see how we handle each situation:

Parents/guardians whose child was absent.

• Parents/guardians should send their child to school ready to be photographed.
• Parents/guardians who have previously placed an order do not need to place a new order.
• Parents/guardians who have not ordered can place an order using the Retake Event Order Code, 87181WF at https://inter-state.com/Order. This Order Code is different from the original Event Order Code.

Parents who are unhappy with the original picture.

Parents/guardians who placed an order should send the Picture Package, including the envelope, to school on Retake Day. Please ensure the package is given to the photographer so they have the information they need to replace the original picture with the retake. Our photographers need the Original Picture Packages to produce the Retake Picture Package.

• They should keep the Class Picture or yearbook, if the order included these items. Please return these to the parent/guardian if you see these items mistakenly returned.
• Customers who only ordered Digital Download Products should still have a Picture Package envelope with a Photo Statement to return.

Parents/guardians who have not ordered can place an order using the Retake Event Order Code, 87181WF at https://inter-state.com/Order. This Order Code is different from the original Event Order Code.

Retake Picture Day is 10/24/2024! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.

If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.

Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code 87181WF to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order. To see your Order History, check your Inter-State Account.

**COSTUME PARADE**

Join us on Thursday, October 31st, from 2:20 to 2:40 PM for Anderson School’s Halloween Costume Parade—a fun-filled celebration of all things fall! If your child would like to participate, they are welcome to bring a simple costume to school. Teachers will provide time for students to change before the parade begins. Please ensure that costumes are easy for your child to put on by themselves and can fit comfortably through doorways. Large inflatable costumes are not permitted; save those for trick-or-treating at home. Also, please avoid any violent or frightening themes—no blood, guts, weapons, or scary wounds—as we want to be mindful of our younger students who may be sensitive to certain costumes.

Parents, guardians, and grandparents are invited to join the fun! The parade will make its way outside to the back of the school, with cones marking the route. We look forward to seeing you there, ready for an overload of cuteness!

**CLASSROOM PARTIES**

After the parade, each classroom will celebrate the hard work students have put in since the start of the school year with a party on Thursday, October 31st (approximately 2:40–3:20 PM, though times may vary by grade level). Teachers may request parent volunteers to help plan, host, or assist during the event. Look for details from your child’s teacher regarding party plans. For safety and smooth dismissal, we strongly encourage all students to use their regular transportation home.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**

• Please remember that all volunteers must bring a current driver’s license or state ID to comply with D303's security check procedures before entering the building.
• Only volunteers who have signed up with the teacher are permitted to attend the party—this is not an "open house" event.
• If you prefer that your child not participate in the costume parade or classroom party, simply inform their teacher. We will have a fun alternative activity available in the library for them.

We can’t wait for a day of fun, creativity, and community celebration!

Premier Martial Arts is teaming up with Anderson Elementary to offer an introduction to martial arts Karate Club!

KARATE CLUB is an 8-week afterschool program and will cover:

• Focus and Concentration
• Respect and Discipline
• Physical Fitness
• Character Development
• Confidence

Wednesdays: Nov, 6, 13, 20, Dec. 4, 11, 18. Jan. 8, 15 (3:25-4:25 PM) Anderson Gym

Our mission is to empower children's lives THROUGH using martial arts. Tracking character development as well as physical fitness the true goal is to teach them life lessons that will improve their schoolwork and relationships at home.

Karate Club Registration is $75:

• Includes all 8 weeks
• Uniform T-Shirt
• Uniform Belt
• Belt Test/Graduation Ceremony hosted at Premier Martial Arts where students will get their certificate and break a board in front of their family!

*Registration is only open to Anderson Elementary students
