The Yakima School District is pleased to announce the selection of Brenda Mallonee as Principal of K-8 Virtual, effective July 1, 2024, pending approval by the school board.
We are delighted to welcome Brenda Mallonee as the new K-8 Online Principal at Yakima School District. With a rich career spanning 24 years in education, including 11 years in administration, Brenda brings unparalleled expertise and a deep passion for fostering educational excellence.
A proud native of Yakima County, Brenda holds a teaching certificate from Central Washington University, administrative credentials from Heritage University, and a Master's in Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment from Walden University. Her extensive background includes roles such as Executive Director of Student Success and Safety, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment, and Principal of multiple schools in the Toppenish School District.
In her new role, Brenda will oversee SOL Digital Learning and Home to School Cooperation in addition to her responsibilities as the K-8 Online Principal. Her professional journey has been marked by a commitment to creating supportive and empowering environments for students and staff alike. Brenda is dedicated to ensuring every student receives the best educational experience possible.
