Upcoming CMAS Testing:
CMAS Science testing alert - if you have a 5th or 8th grader, we will hold their CMAS Science testing on Friday 4/18. This is a change from the original schedule and a professional development day for us, but with only half of our school testing in Science, we thought it would be the best way to implement this in our space. All 5th and 8th graders NOT opted out of CMAS will come to school on 4/18 from 8:30a - 1:00p. If you have any questions or concerns about this, please reach out to Rachael Watkins.
Our CMAS Testing will be as follows:
- 4/7/25 Reading and Writing ELA Testing
- 4/9/25 Math Testing
- 4/18/25 for Science Testing (this is only for 5th and 8th graders only).
- please send your student with a book for them to read after testing
- please send your student with water/snacks to ensure they have enough nutrition
- please encourage your student to get a good night sleep the night before testing
- please bring your student to school on time, as testing will be starting right at 8:30AM
- opt-out student will have programming during the day

Therapy Dog in Training
We are piloting a new program at Prospect Academy - a therapy dog-in-training. He's a 9-year-old black lab named Ninja and has been around kids his whole life. He has a gentle temperament and loves to be pet, go on walks and fetch, and eat.
He'll be primarily spending time with our counselors and in the counseling office. Students will get a chance to interact with Ninja both during their sessions and during the school day. Students will also learn and engage in general care of an animal.
Please reach out to Mia Coffing if you have any concerns about having Ninja join the PA team.
