Parent Teacher Conference Information
Parent/teacher conferences will be scheduled from October 14- November 8, 2024. These conferences are to provide you with an opportunity to hear from your child's teacher how they are progressing at this time. These conferences can be either by Zoom, phone, or in-person.
Our teachers are utilizing an electronic scheduling system for conferences, which will allow you to log onto a site and schedule your conference time. The dates and times for the conferences arranged by your child’s teacher are located on this site. If you do not have availability to the Internet, please call the office at (717) 225-4731 extension 1560 to schedule your appointment.
If you have internet access, you can access the scheduling site by using clicking the button below.
It is important you schedule your appointment as soon as possible to secure a time that best works for you. Scheduling is open from September 25-October 9. This allows our teachers time to finalize their conference details.
We look forward to meeting with you.

Attendance
Late Arrival Routine
Step 1: Students who are arriving late to school must be signed in inside the Paradise Elementary office by their parent/guardian.
Step 2: Students arriving late due to physician appointments must submit the absence excuse form in the Sapphire Community Web Portal. Paradise Elementary office does not need a physical copy of the note. Lack of an appropriate physician’s note would constitute a tardiness or half-day unlawful/unexcused absence.
Early Dismissal Routine
Step 1: It is highly recommended that the parent/guardian email Officepes@sgasd.org and/or send a note along to school with their child if he/she is leaving early for an appointment or if he/she is going to be picked up at the end of the school day as opposed to riding the school bus. The office will communicate the information to the classroom teacher.
Step 2. Students who are leaving early must be signed out in the office by their parent/guardian. Students will not be released to anyone other than the parent/guardian or emergency contact listed on the emergency card unless specified in the early dismissal note.
Step 3: The doctor’s note must be submitted with the absence excuse form in the Sapphire Community Portal upon the student’s return to school for the absence to be excused.

iPad Protection Plan
Avoid costly repair fees by purchasing the iPad Protection Plan. The plan covers repairs due to accidental damage throughout the school year.
- The iPad Protection Plan is an optional, non-refundable protection plan for students in grades 3 - 12 since they must take their school-issued iPad home daily.
- Students in grades K - 2 will keep their iPads at school unless their teacher asks them to be taken home for a special circumstance. Since they are not required to take their iPad home, they will not be liable for damage unless it is deliberately damaged.
For students in grades 3 – 12, the protection plan can only be purchased up to October 1 of the current school year. The parent/guardian will not be charged if an iPad gets damaged before then. No payments will be accepted after October 1, and the repair cost will be invoiced to the parent/guardian.
Students enrolling in the school district during the year will have 30 days after their enrollment date to purchase the protection plan.
