A Note from your School Leaders
Spring?
It doesn't feel like it quite yet, but if you look closely there ARE some signs of spring in Maine! Check out the photo I snapped of the daffodils blooming in the foreground and the snowbank in the background; a perfect image welcoming us to school each day as Spring Break approaches! We wish all of our Wentworth community a wonderful break next week - if you are travelling, relaxing at home, or just looking forward to a change of routine, we hope you find joy and rejuvenation for the final push of the 23-24 school year ahead!

Recycle your Eclipse Glasses
We are collecting Eclipse glasses through April 26th. They will be shipped to a non-profit to be distributed to school-aged children in Latin America in time for the 2024 Eclipse in their part of the world.
Maine Through Year Assessment - How Can You Help?
The week after we return from break we will begin spring assessments.
You can help set your child up for success during the state assessments by:
- Supporting a good sleep routine and schedule
- Planning for a nutritious breakfast
- Ensuring your child arrives at school on time
- Drop-off begins at 8:30. Arriving after 8:45 causes kids to have a hectic start, arriving after 9:00 is considered tardy and impacts their learning, schedule, and class routines.
- Making sure your child has a functioning pair of headphones or earbuds to use with their Chromebook for testing
As a reminder, see the letter below from our Director of Curriculum and Assessment, Katie Vetro, about upcoming spring assessments. At Wentworth School, the Maine Through Year Assessment will take place in the mornings, the week of April 29.
