Laptop EquippEd Information
The FBISD EQUIPPED web page has been updated to NOW INCLUDE THE REVTRAK DAMAGED FEES LINKS as promised here: https://www.fortbendisd.com/equipped-fees. This link also includes further FAQs, policies, and procedures regarding laptops. Also, below are the needed links for the optional insurance purchase.
How to sign up for laptop insurance:
1. Upcoming NEW Student-Insurance Purchase :
From now on, newly enrolled students will have two weeks from the date of enrollment to purchase insurance with this link >>> Purchase New Student Insurance Here.
If a new student wishes to purchase insurance after the two-week period, they will need to follow the “Late Insurance Purchase” process, which requires inspection.
2. NEW Students enrolled after the insurance open enrollment period ended and today:
They can now purchase the optional laptop insurance with this link >>> Purchase New Student Insurance Here We are going to give these students two weeks to purchase insurance with NO INSPECTION NEEDED. This is to make up for the fact that they had no option to purchase insurance when they enrolled.
They will not require an inspection and if any of them already have a fine assessed it needs to be removed and replaced with an insurance claim #1/#2 fee for tracking. We are working to send an email notification for these students. The deadline end on 12/20/24 (LAST DAY OF THE SEMESTER).
3. Late Insurance Purchase for any Student who missed the deadline to purchase insurance during the initial offering:
They still can now purchase the optional laptop insurance with this link >>> Purchase “Late Insurance” Here LATE INSURANCE PURCHASES REQUIRE AN INSPECTION BEFORE COVERAGE IS ACTIVATED, so the “Pending Inspection” can be changed to a “Yes” in RM. Students DO NOT have coverage until the inspection occurs — visual inspection looking for any major physical damage or corrosion to parts.
Any pre-existing damage found during this inspection WILL NOT be covered by insurance. After the inspection, the student will receive an email at their district email address with the inspection results and confirmation that the insurance policy is activated.

A Message from the SLMS PTO
Warm Winter Regards Titan Families!
We have much to be thankful for after having a weeklong break. Thank you to the parents who help donate to our Fall Staff Luncheon, thank you to the SLMS teachers and staff who show up every day ready to teach and engage the Titan students and thank you to the Titan families who make up such a wonderful and diverse community! We have three weeks until winter break and plenty of happenings to mention.
FIRST, dust off your cookie shirts or pick-up a dozen of your favorite store bought holiday cookies and sign-up for the Staff Holiday Cookies & Treats Sign-up.
SECOND, plan to stop by Lazy Dog Restaurant for our weekend long spirit nights fundraiser 12/6-12/8. You must present the FLYER or use the online code 41SMS.
NEXT, if you’ve noticed your Titan has outgrown most of their clothes or shoes, clean out of the old and make room for the new by donating to the Textile Recycling Drive 12/9-12/13. Place items in the bin located near the bus ramp - items that are too large for the bin are NOT ACCEPTED.
LASTLY, if you are wanting to buy your students teacher something they really want, checkout the SLMS Staff Favorites list at www.slmspto.weebly.com. Happy Holidays!
