Message from Principal Ricks
Dear Global Leaders Families,
At Global Leaders, we believe that student success is a shared responsibility between families, educators, and students. Staying involved in your child’s education—whether through regular communication with teachers, attending PTA meetings, or participating in school events—is a powerful way to demonstrate the value of learning and create a strong foundation for academic achievement.
This week, we are emphasizing the importance of attendance and its connection to success. Did you know that students who maintain 90% attendance or higher are significantly more likely to excel in school? While 90% might sound good, it actually means missing 18 days over the course of a school year—almost a full month of learning. Each day counts, and every moment in class strengthens your child’s understanding, confidence, and ability to thrive academically.
We encourage you to stay connected with your child’s teachers to monitor progress and reach out whenever you have questions or concerns. Attending PTA meetings is another great way to stay informed about what’s happening in the school and to share your voice in shaping our community. Additionally, making time to attend school events, like this week’s awards ceremony and coffee with parents, helps strengthen the partnership between home and school while celebrating our students’ successes together.
Let’s work together to reach our shared goal of 90% attendance or higher across our school. Your involvement and support make all the difference in helping our students grow as scholars and leaders.
Thank you for your partnership!
Warm regards,
Keri Ricks
Principal
