This week, we are "gifting" our hard working teachers with a gift of time and we need your help covering classes. The teachers will leave an activity or lesson plan for while they are gone.

Thank you for your support in the recent election! Conroe ISD voters turned out to pass three of the four propositions in Bond 2023. The three propositions total $1.973 billion, 98.8% of the funds in Bond 2023, and will have a two-cent impact on the tax rate. Updates will be shared on social media, in Board Meetings and posted to conroeisd.net/bond. We will also share campus-specific project updates in our newsletters. We are so excited about the great things to come!

Subject: Notification to Parents of Teacher Qualifications

We are pleased to inform you that all teachers and paraprofessionals at Giesinger Elementary are qualified and meet state qualifications. As a parent of a student at Giesinger Elementary, you have the right to know the professional qualifications of the classroom teachers who instruct your child, and Federal law requires the school district to provide you this information in a timely manner if you request it. Specifically, you have the right to request the following information about each of your child’s classroom teachers:

● Whether the teacher meets the state qualifications and licensing criteria for the grades and subjects.

● Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or provisional status because of special circumstances.

● The teacher’s college major, whether the teacher has any advanced degrees, and the field of discipline of the certification or degree.

● Whether paraprofessionals provide services to your child and, if so, their qualifications.

Being at school each day is important and when students are absent, they miss out on valuable instruction. Every instructional minute matters! Please send your students to school when they are not sick. Vacations should be scheduled during our long breaks.
