Pauline Central Jag-Wire Update
December 9, 2024
A note about Winter Parties
At Pauline Central, each grade level plans special celebrations tailored to the needs and interests of their students. During this festive time of year, our teachers organize many fun and engaging activities for students. However, we are mindful that not all of our students celebrate the Christmas holiday, and we strive to create an inclusive environment that respects and honors the diverse backgrounds within our school community.
If you would like to volunteer or assist with these activities, please reach out to your child’s teacher to learn more about any special events happening in their classroom.

Important Update Regarding School Lunch at Pauline Central
We’re excited to announce a new lunch option for students starting on Friday, November 1. In addition to the main entree, Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches will be available every day (except Manager's Choice Days) as a second choice.
To ensure we have the correct amount of each entree, students will need to select their lunch choice in the morning and will not be able to change their minds once they choose.
Thank you for helping us make lunch a great experience for all students!
Community Information
Parents as Teachers openings in our area
Are you or someone you know currently expecting a baby or have a child that is newborn to age 3? If so, you might consider joining the Auburn-Washburn Parents as Teachers program. This program provides individual family visits with a trained family support specialist, giving parents resources and developmental activity ideas for keeping themselves and their children safe, healthy and ready to learn. It is a free service offered to any family with at least one child under the age of 3 years old living in the USD #437 district. Families have the option of meeting with their support specialist in the privacy of their own home or may choose to meet at another location within the community that is convenient for them.
We are currently taking applications for new families to enroll in the program, and both day and evening visit times are available. If you have questions or are interested in enrollment, please contact the program coordinator, Shawna Hall, via email at hallsha@usd437.net, by phone at 785-339-4762.
