🏫 A Note From Mrs. Rowe
Hello Carpenter School Families!
The month of April has arrived, along with its first New England curveball! Our previously planned Early Release on April 3rd, now coincides with yet another incoming snowstorm. Dismissal will begin with our buses at 1 pm. Please stay tuned for updates from our Superintendent on how the weather will affect school on Thursday. ❄️
Then, get ready for the next natural phenomenon on Monday, April 8th, when, for a few brief moments, the moon will be directly between the Earth and the sun, resulting in a total solar eclipse! If you haven't already done so, kindly complete the survey regarding your child's plans for that day. Our office staff sincerely appreciates your help with this!
April also brings a host of other exciting events, including a whole school field trip to the Kingswood Arts Center to watch the CLS Drama Club's musical production, "Dig It", a visit from the accomplished author/illustrator Marty Kelley, and the Third Grade Wax Museum!
Here's to another fantastic month ahead for our Carpenter School community.
Warm regards,
Corinne Rowe

😊 Reminders
Kindergarten Registration
Registration for the 2024-2025 kindergarten class will be held on May 7th and May 9th at Carpenter School. Students must be five years old by September 30, 2024. The child's birth certificate, immunization records, physical examination paperwork, and proof of residency should be brought to registration. Call 603-569-3457, or email Barb Bamberg, bbamberg@sau49.org, to make an appointment. We are so excited to meet our new friends!
Be Ready For Anything!
Important reminder: Snow gear will still be required to play on any areas that have snow. Even in April, the weather can be an unpredictable mess of rain and snow, so please make sure your child is prepared with layers for changing temperatures, and a dry change of clothes in backpacks, just in case.
Dismissal Changes? Don't forget to call!
Afternoons can get very busy here in the Carpenter School office. Please help Mrs. Bamberg, our administrative assistant, and communicate changes to your child's dismissal plans as early in the day as possible (2:30 at the very latest, is preferred). This will ensure that important messages are relayed on time, and avoid any confusion for your child. Please call the school directly or email bbamberg@sau49, to communicate such changes.
Additionally, if your child will be absent from school for any reason, please let us know by 9:00 am.
Thank you!
Playground Hours
A quick reminder that while this is a community playground, it must be closed to the general public during regular Carpenter School hours and school sponsored events, as well as during the evening hours, from dusk to dawn.
PLEASE DO NOT enter the playground, or parking lot, until all buses have left with our students for the day, as this creates a very unsafe situation for kids. Our sincerest thank you for your help with this!
Breakfast and Lunch
This is just a friendly reminder to check in with your account balance and be sure it is kept up to date. It is very easy to lose track of the days and suddenly be faced with an unexpectedly large balance. An easy way to manage payments and track your child's spending is to create an account with myschoolbucks.com.
Carpenter School PTO
There are several fun PTO sponsored events planned throughout the coming month. If you would like to learn more or volunteer to help, the next PTO Meeting is on Wednesday, April 10th at 6pm. If you are unable to attend, but still wish to be involved, please send an email to: carpenterschoolpto@gmail.com.
