A message from our Principal
Dear PG Families,
January is off to a great start with great successes by our students and school team. Our last benchmark exams show growth overall for our school with a special shout out to our 2nd and 3rd grade students who showed tremendous growth on their Math benchmark exam! Our Girls Basketball and Boys Volleyball teams both became district champions, winning their divisions and being named the number 1 teams for the season! Additionally, one of our partnerships has had an incredibly positive effect on our campus and we are very excited about the work.
Over the last three years we have been partnering with Welcoming Schools to integrate a comprehensive bias-based bullying prevention program that includes LGBTQ+ and gender inclusive professional development training for staff as well as resources specifically designed for educators to support ALL families and students. This has been an incredible journey of learning. We believe in making school a safe place where we can uplift all students and families and embrace family, student, and staff diversity. As we continue our work, we are a few short months away from becoming the first school in the state of Arizona to earn the Seal of Excellence through Welcoming Schools. I am incredibly proud of our work and look forward to welcoming you all to our Seal of Excellence celebration later this year!
