Allen FFA members traveled to Indianapolis Indiana where they competed in the National FFA Farm and Agribusiness Management Career Development Contest. Each state is allowed to send one team each year and Allen was asked to represent Texas FFA at the National Event.
Team members Jr. Amelia Clark, Sr. Abi Lutrick, Sr. Ainsley Walker, and Sr. Allie Yesconis received a silver team award after they competed in a three-hour exam covering agribusiness management, finance, accounting, and economics principles. Following the individual exam, they competed in a 90-minute team activity where they worked to solve real world problems related to a set of financial records and determine the financial standing and suggest improvements based on the records provided.
