EXCITING THINGS HAPPENING AT CY-CREEK!
Youngs Counseling representatives pose for a photo with Frank Fraley, Cypress Creek High School associate principal; and Dawn Tryon, CFISD director of community engagement; to commemorate their newly established Adopt-A-School partnership with Cypress Creek.
Youngs Counseling visited Cypress Creek on Aug. 15 to announce their newly established partnership to faculty and staff. Frank Fraley, Cypress Creek associate principal, shared excitement for Youngs Counseling to add to the recipe of success at Cypress Creek.
“We are extremely excited and grateful to partner with Youngs Counseling,” Fraley said. “Our theme for this year is ‘Being the Seasoning for the Recipe for Success.’ Youngs Counseling’s partnership will be a welcomed ingredient to that recipe. The services that they will be able to provide for our campus and community will only enhance our Cougar family. Ahh CC What!”

Air Force JROTC
We are still accepting students who are looking for a challenge, but also a welcoming, all-inclusive organization that is educating, motivating, and rewarding. JROTC is not “boot camp” or training for military service, but rather a program that develops decision making and communication skills while building self-confidence as a leader. Students improve responsibility and accountability skills as well as becoming more resilient. Benefits of being an AFJROTC cadet include a Public Services endorsement for graduation, continued education scholarship opportunities, advanced military pay while serving, IF desired, and a stable and consistent learning environment that encourages success. Looking for something bigger for your student, consider Air Force JROTC. Please contact one of the JROTC instructors if you have question by calling Cypress Creek High School or via email.

2024-2025 Production Season - Cypress Creek Theatre
Cypress Creek Theatre is excited to announce our 2024-2025 production season! We invite you and your family to join us for one (or all) of our events this year. For a brief synopsis of each show, please see below.
Show 1: October 3-5, 2024
By Frances Hodgson Burnett
Adapted by Sylvia Ashby
This performance will take place in the Cypress Creek library.
This story is as familiar as you remember. Mary Lennox, a sullen and spoiled young orphan, is sent to live with her brooding uncle at gloomy Misselthwaite Manor. Discovering a hidden, neglected garden, Mary plants the seeds of new life for all those drawn into her secret refuge. A wonderful story of transformation, from the author of our immensely popular Anne of Green Gables.
Show 2: December 12-14, 2024
By John Cariani
Performed in the Blackbox
Welcome to Almost, Maine, a place that’s so far north, it’s almost not in the United States. It’s almost in Canada. And it’s not quite a town, because its residents never got around to getting organized. So it almost doesn’t exist. One cold, clear, winter night, as the northern lights hover in the star-filled sky above, the residents of Almost, Maine, find themselves falling in and out of love in unexpected and hilarious ways. Knees are bruised. Hearts are broken. But the bruises heal, and the hearts mend—almost—in this delightful midwinter night’s dream.
Show 3: January 16-18, 2025
By Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss
Performed in the Auditorium
SIX: TEEN EDITION is a full-length adaptation of Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss’ international phenomenon SIX, modified for performance by teen actors for family audiences.
Divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded, survived. From Tudor Queens to Pop Icons, the SIX wives of Henry VIII take the mic to remix five hundred years of historical heartbreak into a Euphoric Celebration of 21st-century girl power! This new original musical is the global sensation that everyone is losing their head over.
SIX: TEEN EDITION includes all songs from the original version, with reimagined lines and lyrics to minimize suggestive language and alternate line changes to reframe UK references for a US audience. The historical context of SIX: TEEN EDITION also provides the opportunity for an educational component, aligning our production with the school’s curriculum in history and literature.
