Project Grow Early Release 11:30 am

The cafeteria is closed on the last day of school. No breakfast or school lunches are served.

Thank you for a fabulous school year!

It seems like just yesterday that we were greeting students and welcoming them to the first day of school. This year has been full of many exciting learning experiences! We congratulate all Center School students for their hard work and accomplishments this year.

Thank you to our dedicated faculty and staff for providing a high-quality educational program and supporting our young learners' social-emotional development. Center School students thrive due to the hard work of our faculty and staff and the support of our families.

We want to thank all parents and guardians, our PTA, School Council, School Committee members, and all Center School community members for your continuous support. Our students made tremendous progress this year as a result of your partnership. We couldn't have done it without you!

We want to thank our Mattapoisett Fire Department and Police Department for their fabulous partnership with our school! They attend and participate in school events, read to students, and provide educational opportunities.

Summer Reading

Summer reading materials will be sent home with students in their report card envelopes. It is critical for students to read and to be read to over the summer months. Students have worked hard all school year on their literacy skills, and it is important to keep skills current by reading books and listening to read-alouds for pleasure.

Incoming Kindergarten Start Dates

Kindergarten School Readiness Screening - Wednesday, August. 28, 2024

If your child did not attend the Spring Kindergarten School Readiness Screening in May or if we would like to rescreen your child, we will contact you about scheduling a screening appointment for your child on August 28th.

Kindergarten Orientation Day for all kindergarten students - Thursday, August 29, 2024

9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Students meet with their teacher in the classroom.

9:30 - 10:00 a.m. Parent/Guardian orientation in the cafeteria.
Parents/Guardians pick up their students at the front door at 11:00 a.m.

Families will meet classroom teachers outside of the school’s front door at 9:30 a.m.

Your child’s teacher will meet with their students in their classroom for an introduction/welcome and storytime activity. During this time, parents will join the principal, school counselor, and school nurse for a brief orientation and will be asked to check in with the school office to confirm their child’s transportation.
