SENIORS - CLASS OF 2023 ONLY:
We are writing to inform you that your student Google account will be archived effective June 30, 2023. This means that after July 1, 2023, you will no longer be able to access your Monomoy Google account or any of the data stored in it.
We understand that this may be a disruption, and we want to help you make the transition as smooth as possible. To download a copy of your data, please visit the following link:
https://takeout.google.com/
Google Takeout is a free service that allows you to download a copy of all of your data from Google, including your emails, documents, photos, and more. Once you have downloaded your data, you can store it on your own computer or device, or you can transfer it to another cloud storage service.
Submit Bus Registration for 2023-2024
Dear Monomoy families,
Please complete the transportation form in the Aspen family portal to let us know whether or not your student will be riding the bus for the 2023-2024 school year. This information will be used to create efficient and accurate routes and stops. The form will ask: Check box if you DO NOT wish to be on a bus route. Leave blank if you want to ride the bus. The form will also ask that you verify your current street address or provide an updated address. Please note that you must complete the form for each student.
Click here to log into your family Aspen account, and select 'Start a new Bus Verification.'
Submitting this information now will help us make sure we have the right number of buses, on the right routes, with the right stops! There is no need to sign up for the bus just in case, if you don’t think you’ll need it. If circumstances change, your student can always be added later.
Please submit your responses by the last day of school – June 21.
If you have any questions, please contact Monomoy Transportation Coordinator Faith Rushnak at frushnak@monomoy.edu or (617) 848 0568.
Thank you!
MRSD announces new assistant principals at the middle and high schools
Monomoy Regional School District has announced the hiring of new Assistant Principals at Monomoy Regional Middle School and Monomoy Regional High School.
At Monomoy Regional Middle School, Sean Dutch has been hired as Assistant Principal for 2023-2024. He will fill the position previously held by Dr. Abby Dudley, who will be moving into the role of Principal. Dutch will be joining Monomoy from Brockton High School, and has more than a decade of experience working in classrooms and with students with behavioral concerns. He will be finishing up his doctorate over the summer in Educational Leadership.
“Sean is well equipped to support our wonderful student body and our amazing teachers, and we are grateful that he has signed on at Monomoy,” said Dudley.
Annmarie Rita has been named as Monomoy Regional High School's new Assistant Principal for 2023-2024. She will join the current MRHS leadership team of Principal Jennifer Police and Assistant Principal David Alexander. Rita joins Monomoy from Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School, where she has served as teacher and department head for the past 10 years. Prior to her time at D-Y, Rita also worked at high schools in Connecticut. She has been accepted to the Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership program at Salem State University.
“Annmarie is a dynamic educator who brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to her new role of assistant principal. She is a student-centered educator who will enhance the educational experience for students and our community as a whole,” said Police.
For both of these positions, search committees made up of parents, faculty, staff, students, and administrators reviewed the applications and participated in the interviews. After a thorough search and interview process, each committee put forward finalists for the two roles. Following final interviews, visits, and reference checks, they were offered the positions by Superintendent Dr. Scott Carpenter.
Dutch and Rita will begin their new positions in Monomoy on July 1, 2023.

Cherian Armstrong receives a CIWB Rising Star award
MRHS teacher, Cherian Armstrong, received the Cape and Islands Workforce Board 'Rising Star' award.
The following is from the MassHire CIWB:
"The MassHire CIWB is incredibly grateful to all of our strategic partners in the region as every one of them supports the mission of elevating workforce development initiatives on the Cape and Islands. However, each year, we feel that it is important to recognize the individuals and organizations whose exceptional contributions epitomize the collaborative spirit that drives positive change in our region.
This year, the CIWB introduced a new category to our honors, a group that we have deemed the CIWB 'Rising Stars'. These individuals and organizations have emerged as reliable partners, as enthusiastic supporters, and as valued contributors to CIWB initiatives.
Our inaugural "Rising Stars" were chosen due to the dedication and energy that these individuals and organizations have shown to a variety of CIWB Initiatives throughout the year. The CIWB looks forward to continuing to build on our shared successes and is grateful for your many contributions this past year."
