Career Recognition Night
On Wednesday evening, students, staff and community members were recognized for their partnerships this year in work-based learning at our Career Leadership Recognition Night. Approximately 325 people attended the event to celebrate the accomplishments of the successful completion of work-based learning experiences, pre apprenticeships, supervised agricultural experiences, and internships. Special thanks to Mrs. Stuth, Mrs Scott, Miss Moser and Mrs Warner for all of their hard work in coordinating these opportunities as well as the planning of this awesome event of celebration. Grab your sunglasses, because the future of our community just got brighter!
Fall Semester Illustrator Certifications
After a few barriers, RLASHS was able to give its first Certiport-backed certifications since 2009! The students from the Fall Semester of Graphic Arts 3 were able to conclude the exam timeframe for their Adobe Illustrator Professional Certification Exams. We had 3 students receive their Certifications, if you see them please give them a big congratulations.
Olivia Fisher
Meah King
Chloe Sweitzer
This is a huge accomplishment for these students. These are the same certifications that are offered at York Tech. Our students passed their exams despite having half the lab-time in Graphics, and got to stay in the walls of RLASHS. Bottom-line, these students are focused, knowledgeable, and awesome!

Pawsitive Pal
This week’s pawsitive pal is Mrs. Sarah Warner. Mrs. Warner is all things regarding co-op and internship. She has stepped up to work with the text squad when no one was available to take over, quite the accomplishment for this lady who is not a tech native. Mrs. Warner cares for her students dearly and shows so much enthusiasm and support for each and every one of her interns. She celebrates their wins, acts like “mom” when they need hard lessons, and pushes them to find pathways that support their future life. The amount of times she has pushed me with bizarre ideas to get me to say yes to one of her students is laughable to most. She has not had the easiest of years but has faced each day with a smile, strength and determination. The senior high is so lucky to have her and we throw all of the support behind her. So here’s to you, Mrs. Warner, you are very much deserving of this recognition.

Red Lion Athletics
Red Lion Athletics has a new website on the District Homepage. You can find it HERE.
Unified Track Completed their season as the top point-earning team in the YAIAA. They will compete again in the League Championships on 5/15 at West York.
Tennis finished their season two weeks ago. Keenan Lynch qualified for the YAIAA championships in singles. Keenan and Paul Lehman qualified in doubles.
Girls softball finished up their season yesterday with a 10-8 record. That should qualify them for their first District birth in many years as the 12 seed. They will play their first District game at the 5 seed on Monday May 20th. GREAT JOB LADY LION SOFTBALL!!!
Baseball continues to also have an awesome season. They are currently 16-2 with two games remaining. Friday's game at home against South Western, weather permitting. Friday's game will be for a share of the YAIAA League Title. Congrats to Coach Lawrence on earning his 100th victory earlier this season. Postseason is a definite when they play is not. If they stay in the Top 4 spots they will have a first-round bye and play at Home on HORN Monday 5/20. If they fall to 5 they will host a game at HORN on Friday 5/17. Keep it rolling Boys!
Boys Lacrosse will finish their regular season on Thursday, May 9 against Penn Manor on Horn Field. They currently have a record of 8-7. They are 13th with a large gap to make up to get into the top 12 for District playoffs.
Girls Lacrosse has completed their regular season at 12-4. They sit in the District rankings 5, with the top 4 getting a first-round bye. It is possible they could jump up but it is also possible that they could drop down as they are at the mercy of others who still have games to play. They would host a first-round game on Horn Field on Friday, May 17th if they stay 5-8 in the district rankings. If they move up and or win that first-round game they will play Tuesday, May 21st at a site and time TBD. Great year Ladies, keep up the good work!
The boy's volleyball also continues to have a strong season. They have a regular season record of 12-3, which has qualified them for both League and District postseason matches. They complete their season this evening against another strong opponent in Cumberland Valley, the match is at home at 7:15 PM. They will likely play at 7:30 PM Monday 5/13 at Dallastown in the first round of the county volleyball tournament. The District tournament for them begins at home/road on Tuesday, May 21st or Thursday, May 23rd depending on their seed which currently is 6. Top 4 again get a bye in round 1 and 5-8 would host in round 1. The boys are prepared for a deep postseason run!

The Senior High has PRIDE!
The P.R.I.D.E. Program is a character education framework which teaches and instills the virtues of being Personable, being Respectful, having Integrity, being Dependable, and being Engaged in both the school and community.
At the Senior High, not only are staff able to recognize student achievements; but also our students may recognize the good in other students or staff members. Through our online form, we are able to promote the good throughout our school and show each other the PRIDE the Senior High brings each day. The form can be accessed at: http://tinyurl.com/priderecognition or by using the QR code below.
