Thanksgiving Break Begins
I hope you all have a lovely week off with your children and families! Our FORES staff will also be taking this time to relax and enjoy moments with their loved ones. To fully unwind, they won’t be responding to messages until we’re back on Monday, 12/1. If you send an email during their time away, they'll be sure to respond by Tuesday, 12/2. Thank you for your understanding and for helping to ensure they have this special time away from school. All the best to each of you. -Jessica Shults, Principal
Good Things this Week!

Lockdown Drill 12/6
FORES will conduct a lockdown drill Friday, December 6th. This will be our 1st of two required lockdown practice drills. The second will be during the second semester.
This will only be a drill and not an actual emergency. The drill will include using the emergency response button as well as the public address systems, which will go out over the public emergency scanner. We will make an announcement for our students Thursday so they know this is an upcoming drill and what to expect.
Again, this will be a drill and not an actual emergency.
We are proud to work with our law enforcement to conduct this drill, and we appreciate our positive relationships with them. We thank them for their service to our community.

BISD families,
I am excited to announce that the referral window for the Gifted and Talented program will be open from November 15th to December 17th. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to nominate your child for consideration in our Gifted and Talented program, which is designed to provide advanced educational opportunities for students who demonstrate exceptional abilities.
If you believe your child would benefit from this program, please take the time to submit a referral during this window. Additional information about the process, including the referral link, can be found on the district’s Advanced Academics website linked here.
I encourage you to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have regarding the referral process. Thank you for your continued support in fostering our students’ growth and potential.
Best regards,
