Harvesting Success: New Intitiatives Starting This Month
NEW COURSES & WORKSHOPS
Enhance your learning experience by participating in our newest classes! These engaging courses and workshops not only keep you excited and motivated in your English learning but teach you skills to be successful at school and at work.
1. Entrepreneurship Bridge for Advanced ESL Students-ONLINE: This course is available for students scoring 217+ on the CASAS GOALS test. The entrepreneurship Bridge course is designed to introduce students to the key concepts involved in becoming a successful entrepreneur as well as to prepare them to pass the U.S. Entrepreneurship Certification Examination and receive their official certificate. This course is 14 weeks in length with classes meeting twice per week for three hours each. There are a total of 86 instructional hours. The course covers the 12 content areas assessed in the U.S. Entrepreneurship Certification Examination.
Schedule: Mondays & Wednesday, 6pm-8:45pm, September 4 through December 11

2. Book Club: Boost your confidence and refine your English language skills with this exciting ONLINE course for Advanced ESL students! The class meets every Monday from 1pm to 3pm from September 9 throught December 9. The title of the book is a surprise!

3. ONLINE Technology Workshops for ABE & ASE students
September Focus: AI FOR LANGUAGE LEARNING/ChatGPT

Monday, September 9 - AI for student learning - Part A, 6pm-8:30pm
Monday, September 16 - AI for student learning - Part B, 6pm-8:30pm
Monday, September 23 - AI for job hunting, 6pm-8:30pm

4. IN-PERSON Mini Technology Course for ESL Students at HPHS:
Class Focus: AI FOR LANGUAGE LEARNING/ChatGPT
This tailored 4-session ESL course teach students how to use AI tools to enhance and speed up their language learning. Individual needs and questions regarding technology will be addressed as well. If your goal is to improve your English fast and discover new ways to practice English with AI, THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU!

6. Digital Skills for Beginners
- A Digital Skills Program for beginners that offers comprehensive training on computer basics, internet usage, email management, and cybersecurity.
