Dear Folsom Parents,

It is once again that time of year for Folsom School’s Annual Food Drive, coordinated with the assistance of Folsom’s Student Council. All food collected will be organized and placed into baskets for community families in need this holiday season. The Folsom School Food Drive has helped a number of families throughout the past several years, and we are hoping to continue that tradition this year.

Please use the chart below to have your child bring in the appropriate donation food item. Students may begin to bring in food items on Monday, November 11, 2024. All food items must be in by Monday, December 9, 2024. We hope to make this year’s Food Drive another great success!

If you or someone you know is interested in donating a turkey, a gift card or a monetary donation, or you know someone in need of a holiday basket; please contact Carlie Grouser, Folsom School Social Worker at (609) 561-8666 ext. 171.

Early Dismissal - Winter Break Begins

Our 3rd grade TAG students today conducted their final and most tasty Science experiment for this unit of study. We were learning about the process of Diffusion using Skittles and water. The students of course loved getting to eat the results afterwards! Next stop will be passengers of the famous, Titanic!

Second graders wrote beautiful stories that they turned into books. We celebrated our amazing authors yesterday.

Students in 3rd grade are working on a service project in honor of Mrs. Hoyer's father who passed away in August. They are making no-sew blankets during their SEL period to donate to Project Linus. Project Linus provides blankets to hospital patients. Members of our Student Council have also taken up the cause. If you are interested in donating, please reach out to Mrs. Hoyer.

This morning, interested 8th Grade students took a tour of the Atlantic County Institute of Technology.

In connection to our Earth Materials science unit, 2nd Grade students enjoyed a delicious experiment classifying chocolate rocks!

On Halloween, the 4th grade ELA students were challenged with the task to design their own haunted house. The students then had to write an advertisement to sell their house to potential buyers.

Middle School students made candy catapults in WIN and took part in a team building STEM activity in 7th grade science!

The second grade students had a “rockin” time learning about Igneous, Metamorphic and Sedimentary rock attributes in science!

Our Falcons got to experience what it is like to vote in a Presidential election!
