Also - new this year! - follow Fargo Public Schools Virtual Academy on Facebook!
Back to School Night
For any students who have recently joined the Virtual Academy family or who missed our Back-to-School night in August, we are hosting a second event. Our second back-to-school night will be held on Thursday, September 12, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Fargo Public Schools District Office (700 S 7th Street). Reasons to attend back-to-school night:
- Pick up your personal learning device/school issued laptop or fix issues with your school issued device,
- Get your school picture taken by Scherlings. These pictures are used for school IDs and families also have the opportunity to order pictures if desired,
- Meet your teachers. Our VA teachers will be available so you can meet them in person.
Connection Day
Mobile Unit Immunizations
Fargo Public Schools is excited to partner with Family HealthCare again to offer vaccines to students through their mobile unit. All families requesting their child(ren) receive vaccines during school hours must complete this consent packet.
Students in the Virtual Academy will have the option to receive vaccines on Monday, September 30. Please reach out to Holly Fiechtner if you're interested in participating.
Clothing Orders
Virtual Academy has collaborated with Be Seen Gear in Fargo to have our own clothing. Any student or family interested in purchasing VA items can visit https://virtualacademy24.itemorder.com/shop/home/ to order. The deadline for ordering is October 2nd. Items should be received and will be delivered approximately two weeks after the order closes.

We are excited to announce the arrival of GSD/WIN days for our students. This year our counselor and teachers will be alternating and spending time onsite at Trollwood Performing Arts in Moorhead for students to receive in-person assistance in their courses.
Starting September 10, staff will be available at Trollwood on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 to 3:30 this year. Trollwood is located at 801 50th Ave S in Moorhead, MN. This service is open to any student in Edgenuity courses in grades 6-12. Students who fall behind pace in their courses will be required to attend at least one day each week.
