In recognition of the importance of suicide prevention, staff wore yellow on Sept. 10th to signify that we are aware of the impact of suicide, and we are here to support each other and our students.
New Dean of Students--Welcome Ms. Muffley!
We have some very exciting news to share! Beginning Monday, Ms. Kara Muffley will join CCS as our Dean of Students! Some of you may recognize Ms. Muffley from her roles in the Special Education Department. Others may know her from her role as a CCS parent for the past few years. Ms. Muffley is a wonderful advocate for the needs of students at CCS and in the larger community. We are very excited for her to bring her knowledge and expertise to our school team. Please give her a warm welcome.

Come join us for a tour of the school and visit your student's classroom. We will be available to assist you with the HAC annual student update.
Health Clinic
Free Medical, Dental, Vision Services
A health clinic will be in Lusby next Saturday and Sunday (9/21 & 9/22) to provide FREE health services to our community. Free dental, vision, and medical services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to time constraints, be prepared to choose between DENTAL and VISION services. Medical services are offered to every patient attending the clinic. For more information, please email RAMUSA.ORG or call 865-579-1530.

- Accidents happen, students perspire, milk is spilled. To reduce discomfort and to keep your student on track with learning for the day, please be sure to send in a change of clothes for your student. The clothing can be kept at school or in the student's backpack.
- It is important that the Annual Student Update is completed so we have emergency contact information to reach you.
- If your child is feeling ill, please keep them home.
- If your child has a fever, they can return to school once they have been without a fever for 24 hours, without the use of fever-reducing medications.
- Diarrhea and vomiting need to have ended for at least 24 hours before your child can return to school.
- Students that have respiratory illnesses should follow-up with their healthcare provider for testing.

Three Brothers Fundraiser
Come show your support!
Our first Three Brothers fundraiser will take place on Wednesday, October 9th from 4-7 pm. You can dine in or carry-out and CCS will receive proceeds. Unfortunately, we do not get any proceeds from online orders.
October is End Hunger month
We will have a collection box for shelf-stable foods and hygiene products
If you are able, please help us fill the box. Be on the lookout for sale items or Buy One, Get One (BOGO) items at stores. We will give the food to the End Hunger organization for distribution.
