High School Tutoring
We have several teachers who tutor throughout the year, so if your student needs help, we're here for them! Here is the high school after-school tutoring schedule. Mr. Varner, high school math, is available every morning beginning at 6:30 a.m. and can be here after school until 4:00--have your student let him know they're coming in.
Meal Bills
Next week, we will be sending letters home for meal accounts. You will only get a letter if your student has less than $20 in his/her meal account, or if you owe for meals. Meal accounts that have a positive balance will be highlighted in green. The letter is just to let you know that the balance is below $20. If the account has a negative balance, it will be highlighted in red. Please try to keep a positive balance in your student's meal account. Prices for meals are in the link at the bottom of this newsletter.
If you have not completed a free/reduced meal application for this school year, you can still do that, and if your financial situation changes during the year, you can complete one at any point. Remember, if your student is on free or reduced meals, he or she will still be charged full price for extra milk or extra servings. If you have a large balance that carried over from last year, please contact Dr. Spencer, and she will work with you on a payment plan.

The Principal's Corner
Dear Tuscumbia School Community,
Two weeks of school have come and gone, and students are doing great settling into class routines. I’ve been into every classroom and students are already working on assignments, preparing for upcoming tests, finishing the beginning of the year I-ready diagnostic, and overall doing some amazing learning! If you have a student in grades K-8, teachers will be sending diagnostic test results home once testing has been completed. In addition to the I-ready results, teachers will be reaching out to you if your student requires a reading success plan. If your student requires a reading success plan, more in-depth details will be sent to you.
Here are some upcoming events in September that you might want to put on your calendar:
