Peterson's Message- K3 Director
Hello Fabulous TEAM!!
Thank you for participating in our very first Staff Costume Contest! I loved seeing the different costumes and the energy you all brought to the Fall Fun Friday! I hope you had fun with your scholars as well! We had 6 colleagues judge the contest and they enjoyed being able to be a part of our staff fun. See below for the WINNERS of our very first Staff Costume Contest!
Speech and Language Referrals
I have followed up with all families of the scholars who were flagged on the screener by the Speech Pathologists. The referral forms for scholars we are referring for an evaluation have been completed and submitted to MPS. MPS will contact us regarding next steps, which will include observations and additional testing of the scholars. You will be informed of these days/times. Here is the link to the spreadsheet with the SPL notes and my contact with parents. The scholars highlighted in orange are the scholars we have referred.
No School on November 5th- Please be sure to make a plan to get out and vote. Your voice matters and it is important to exercise your right to VOTE!!!
Parent Teacher Conferences
Please be sure to have all of your families schedule a conference time with you. Conferences are a great time to share with families openly, honestly, and positively how their child has been progressing since they joined MCP3! I will be providing you with your Q1 Report Cards, a Dojo Q1 Summary Report for each scholar, and an explanation page for the report card to serve as a guide for the grade mark legend (B, D, SE). I will also include this in the Family Newsletter next week. EAs are not required to stay for conferences, however are able to come to conferences if they would like. This is not compensated time for EAs. Dinner will be provided for lead teachers on Thursday.
We have two different types of challenges taking place in November. A Dojo Focus Skill Challenge AND Staff Challenges. Shout out to Ms. Moon and Ms. Harrell for the Dojo Focus Skill Challenge idea and planning! Be sure to read the details below and let's have some fun!!
With all the Love and Respect,
