Hello GMSS families,

The GMSS Library is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair October 14 - October 18. Students will be visiting the book fair through their ELA classes. The book fair accepts cash, card, Apple Pay & eWallet. eWallet is a safe cash-free way for your child to shop at the fair. Visit the Book Fair Homepage to set up eWallet, preview books and shop online for an expanded selection. Thank you for supporting the book fair!

As the weather is every changing, please know we will be outside for recess as long as possible and students need to bring jackets if needed.

Hello South Families! We are pleased to announce our clubs and activities available to students - if you have any questions about a club, please reach out to Ms. Bonath [bonatha@gjps.org] or the advisor for each club. See the chart for available times and dates of meetings!

CLUBS

Each week I will share about a way that we recognize students at GMSS - This week’s student recognition update: Academic Award - Strong and Steady! At the conclusion of the quarter [starting in quarter 2], any student who has maintained at least a 3.5 grade point average for consecutive terms receives this award. Students are recognized in several ways - a chromebook sticker is given out to each winner, their names are broadcast in our main lobby in the Academic Hall of Fame, they receive Survivor Team points, and we send a certificate home. Stay tuned for more, next week!

THANK YOU, GMSS FAMILIES!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to share final COLOR SPLASH numbers:
—$26,221 was collected! ($21,077 from students & $5145 from sponsors)
—$7002 was spent on the event (prizes, color powder, tee shirts, DJ) & we paid $680 in PayPay fees
️️We netted $18,539️️ which beat our goal to match what we netted last year w APEX of $15,091.
