Weekly Wrap Up
Maple Place Middle School - 3/22/24 Week 28
Principal's Message :
Good Evening, Maple Place Families,
It's been another very busy week at Maple Place. This week we hosted the Wolf Hill fourth graders who got to come over to Maple to see part of the spring musical, Mean Girls, Jr. All students in grades five through eight also got to view a portion of the play during Wednesday's dress rehearsal. Then, the musical went into full swing with it's first two evening performances yesterday and this evening. Tomorrow is your last chance to check out their amazing show. See the flyer below for more information.
In student news, the Maple Place Spelling Bee winner, seventh grader Ryan Carney, has qualified for the Regional Spelling Bee which is being held this Monday night at the Vogel in Red Bank. The winner of this competition will move on to the prestigious Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington D.C. We wish Ryan the best of luck!
Maple Place would also like to congratulate fifth grade student Silla Mosera who is the second place winner in the Species on the Edge Art and Essay Contest. Fifth grade Science classes participated in the contest sponsored by Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey. They researched, wrote essays, and created art pieces to advocate for threatened and endangered species in NJ. We are so proud of all of our fifth graders and applaud Silla for bringing home the prize for her Timber Rattlesnake essay and art. Check out Silla's art below!
Just a reminder that fifth grade students will be taking the CogAT assessment on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend,
Melissa Keiser
