News From The Grizzlies' Den
With Dr. Erin Stephen
Week of September 23rd
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well. I am excited to share that I will officially transition into my role as principal of Greystone on September 30th. I am eager to begin this journey with all of you. In the coming week, I will be at Greystone fulltime and will be meeting with our wonderful staff, transitioning with Dr. Beaver, and participate in district-level trainings. I will also be visiting each class to meet the amazing students at Greystone.
Students will get the opportunity to "ask Dr. Stephen" to learn more about me! Just like the students have an opportunity to get to know me better, I welcome all families to reach out, introduce themselves, and share any questions or ideas they may have. I believe that building strong relationships with both students and their families is key to a successful and supportive school experience.

September is Kindness Month!
September is Kindness Month, a perfect time to spread positivity and make a difference! As the new school year begins, we will focus on simple acts of kindness that can brighten someone’s day. Whether it's a smile, a helping hand, or a kind word, your actions can inspire others and create a ripple effect of goodwill. This month, GES Grizzlies will commit to making kindness a daily habit, reminding ourselves and those around us that a little compassion can go a long way. At the end of the month, a "Grizzly of the Month" award will be given to someone who truly embodies the spirit of kindness!

Transportation
Bus safety is a top priority as we head into the new school year! It’s important to remind our students of a few simple rules to ensure a safe ride to and from school. Let’s work together to make every bus ride a safe and pleasant journey!
Bus Expectations:
Ride my assigned bus (students are not permitted to ride another bus)
Sit in my assigned seat
Stay seated the entire ride
Keep my hands, feet and objects to myself
Keep all devices in my backpack
Pick Up Patrol
Our school uses Pickup Patrol for parents to report absences and communicate dismissal plan changes. All Change must be made by 2pm for the teacher to get notification
Notes, emails or phone calls are not accepted for changes, except in emergencies.
RETURNING PARENTS: If you have not done so already please enter and confirm your students default plan. For a safe dismissal, it’s essential that we know your student’s regular daily dismissal plans.
NEW PARENTS: Please reach out to the main office if you have not received a registration email. The PUP web app is free for parents, and you can use it from your smartphone or computer. Instructions for how to add the app to your phone are included in the registration email.
Thank you for using PickUp Patrol to make safety a priority and to ensure our dismissal process is efficient for all our students. If you have any questions, please check the PUP Parent Guide. If you still need help, contact the office.
