New: Homecoming Week Flag Football Tournament Results
Last night, led by John Kelly and Wade Buckley, we hosted our first ever Homecoming Week Flag Football Tournament…….and it was a HUGE success! On a beautiful night, nearly 300 students representing all grades participated in three different divisions (Girls Only, Boys Only and Co-ed) in 7 on 7 Flag Football. Flag Football is one of the fastest growing sports across the country and that popularity is certainly alive and well here at Eastview as well. The biggest MVPs of the night were Noah Wetzel, Jamey Wagner, Jacob Daubenberger and Wade Buckley, who refereed all of the games straight through for nearly 3 ½ hours without a break! HUGE thanks to each of them! The kids who participated had so much fun and all entry fees are going to support Tackle Cancer and the Randy Shaver Cancer Research Foundation. Below are pictures of the three Championship winning teams from each division, but truly, the laughs and smiles on all participants faces made for a very fun night for all involved…..win or lose.
In addition, Coach Buckley shared with all in attendance that through a partnership with the Minnesota Vikings and the NFL we will be offering some Girls Flag opportunities for all who are interested starting this Spring! Based on some of the highlight reel plays on display tonight, there will be a lot of talented kids involved!
Girls Division Champions - captained by Carly Johnson
Co-Ed Division Champions - captained by Derek Thissen
Boys Division Champions - captained by Ty Young
Detention Update at Eastview
Students can serve detentions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 2:40-4:00pm in C134. Morning Detention from 6:55-7:35am in Student Services is another option Monday-Friday. Detention is a quiet study hall where students are expected to work independently.
Detentions earned for the first (5) tardies in a class and then every three tardies after that need to be served within three weeks of notice or additional consequences and restricted opportunities may result.
Contact Mr. Arrale or Mr. Habeck in Student Services with questions.
Student Parking At EVHS
All students parking in Student Lots need to have a Fall Semester Parking Permit between 7:30am and 2:30pm on school days. Tickets will be issued to cars that are parked without a permit, parked illegally on the yellow lines or parked in the north faculty lot. Tickets need to be paid within (5) school days.
Having unpaid parking fines will limit opportunities, participation and your car may be towed. There is FREE parking at the Johnny Cake Activity Center parking lots south of Eastview High School near the Tennis Courts. In these lots, please ensure that you are not parking in handicapped spaces or spaces designated for pickleball players. The Apple Valley Police Department patrols these lots and WILL ticket cars that are illegally parked in these spaces.
One-Day permits may be purchased for $5 from the EVHS Attendance Office prior to 7:40am each school day.
All part-time Post Secondary Enrollment Option students can purchase a discounted fall parking pass from Mr. Habeck in Student Services.

CLASS OF 2025 SECTION
New: 2025 Senior Party!
Hi 2025 Senior parents - welcome to a whirlwind year that will be capped off with an amazing send off for your graduates at the 2025 Senior Party!!
The senior party is a parent-run all-nighter that takes place the night of graduation, and believe it or not, planning starts now. The 2024 party was a huge hit and the Committee Chairs are ready to share their insights and pass the torch.
The success of this special night takes the involvement of a core group of committee chairs, with the support of additional parent volunteers throughout the year. We are looking for a group of parents who are interested in an active role. Some of the lead positions include Party Chair/Co-Chair, Treasurer, Social Media, Decorations, Entertainment, Ticket Sales, Donations, Event Planner, Food, Volunteer Coordination, and more.
Please bring a friend and join us on Tues 10/8 at 6:30pm in the Eastview Commons to hear more. If you cannot attend, but are interested in chairing a committee or helping out, please send your contact info to eastviewseniorparty@gmail.com
Just for fun...here are a couple of student quotes from the 2024 party feedback...you know you want to be part of these kinds of memories!
It was an amazing experience all around. I enjoyed every part of it and I felt that the crew behind the scenes did an amazing job of keeping everyone entertained. There were so many activities to choose from that I never felt bored or like I didn’t have anything to do. From the horse racing to the concert I thought all of it was so put together and was a very enjoyable night all around. I enjoyed being able to see everyone one last time before summer started then college. Especially after such an important day with graduation, ending it with that part was perfect!
The senior party was one of the best nights of my high school experience. It was the last time all my friends were in the same place and I could laugh and make one of a kind memories with them. The worst part of the party was leaving, I almost cried watching all my classmates that I knew I wouldn’t see over the summer again walk away for a final time. The senior party has been one of my conversation topics meeting people in college because of all the fun things I got to do during it. Being hypnotized and riding a bull are things that I may not get the opportunity to do again, so I cherish everything that I got to do that night and will be looking back on those memories for the rest of my life. That night meant the world to me and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.
The senior party was an incredible opportunity to spend one final night inside Eastview with my peers. It provided a sense of unity and celebration that really made up for our lack thereof when we started high school due to the pandemic. We got to enjoy each other’s company and recognize our accomplishments. It was an amazing opportunity and a memory I will never forget.
Hope to see you on 10/8.
